"I had spent at least ten years asking if the occult matrix in which I was embroiled was a conscious Network or just a quantum Net of synchronicity, after long years of speculation about the net or the Network, I took a new imprint, Tim (Leary) would say; I entered a belief system in which the Network of Love was not one hypothesis among many but an omnipresent Reality. Once my eyes were truly open to it, the Network was everywhere."
-- Robert Anton Wilson: Cosmic Trigger (1977) ❤️🔥
I need to get out of here.
A hug from someone you love or trust is worth more than any intellectual exercise that will change your perception of the universe.
1. Cleansing the mind, body and spirit.
2. Being kinder. More loving. More open.
3. Focusing less on work and more on family.
I don't see it in terms of choosing sides. It's about what works ultimately.
The question is: Does the consensus mechanism deliver on its promise of secure-decentralization?
- Proof of Work: Yes* (*when stratum v2 gets full adoption)
- Proof of Stake: Nope
- Proof of History: Bwahahahaha
So we have Proof of Work. What are the attributes of it? Well, one of the most important is that there will always have a competition for dominating the hash-rate. It's essentially a winner takes all game on a long enough timeline. Great, so in other words, the chain with the largest share of hash is winning. So, which one is that? It's Bitcoin.
I don't think it has to be more complicated than that. It'll play out however it will, yes some people will get scammed and that's a shame, but it doesn't change the inevitability of the future, just the time horizon.
Peeling myself away a bit more every day.
Pretty much exactly that! I find the combination of interfaces and value objects be the fastest way to iterate on the overall architecture too. It's nice to have everything well named and organized across domain, context and into the correct hierarchies of information before the tests even. Best to get that right before writing any code. That, then unit tests for the values objects and acceptance tests for the interfaces (contracts), then implementations that cover those tests.
Plenty of ways to skin a cat though.
Contracts then acceptance tests against them.
Yea, lots of context to follow, and the gems are found via wading through seas of low vibes. I don't want to risk going back.
Wow, how did I get this lucky? Does question mean project where you come from?
This place is chaos for someone like me. 😆
Anyway. ✌️❤️🔥🧘♂️
I've been experimenting with fasting and non-substance/yogic techniques for reaching higher states of consciousness. I've finally come back up to Hedonic, but have never been able to hold it for more than a few days historically. Don't think being on Nostr will be useful for maintaining this state/might be a premature test for whether or not I can hold it. I hope that makes sense.
You are literally everything.
Yea, instant encryption lmao.
It works on books too. Just wave your hand over one and voilà. Encrypted a whole shelf in less than a minute.
I hear rot26 is the most secure version.
Fear or Love.
It's always been your choice.
Goddamn, that integration between Orbot and Amethyst was smooth af. 🫂🧡
I see. For what it's worth, my intention wasn't to accuse you of attacking the network. My point was that them unilaterally accepting a pull request to change the name of the network on a whim was an example of a social attack. Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? ... probably not, but it demonstrates a level of hubris that is a red flag for someone like me. They have a responsibility to shepherd decentralization at this point in the movement. As I said, I'm just one node in the network.
Apologies for the misunderstanding anyway. And yes, no hard feelings is the way. 🫂🧡
Do you usually wake up your "neo"s by fading them before making your point?
Seems like a bit of a self own for the ingroup to be so visibly socially attacking the network.
We'll be a bit more vocal on trying to educate and support adoption when we have testnet ready to run. In the mean time, feel free to join our matrix channel #indranet:matrix.org if you have any questions.
