astral just assumes the root tag from the previous event is correct and uses that. I don't want to start going through the whole thread validating the true root.

I think this is probably for top level replies, and was introduced with the tag deletion functionality. thanks for letting me know, will fix!

for astral I limit to only rendering one invoice per post. just to limit spam invoices.

yes this is for dms. dms are the only regularly used encrypted content rn. metadata is public but content is private.

are you browsing in private mode at all? keys should be saving so you don't have to login every time.

also you shouldn't be putting your private key in if you are running on desktop/laptop browser. take a look at the learn more section of astral login popup for more info

haha. actually your color preferences should save. do you have to login every time you open astral? if not localstorage should be working fine. can you make sure that you press save after you edit your preferences?

persistent storage means data will remain even after you close the tab/window. previously astral did this. now it loads the db from scratch every time from relay queries.

still seeing if there are other ways I can enable persistent storage on astral, but indexeddb is not worth it

yep there was an update a couple days ago that removed indexeddb which was the main source of slowness. glad its working.

so astral currently doesn't have persistent storage anymore but runs a whole lot faster/smoother.
