building on nostr

hahah no not at all. but people smarter than me are thinking about it. #[6]

once i have time I'll nail down a plan. but I am itching to get pow and media integrated and personally think those add more value than likes. I understand that not everyone will agree

thanks someone! glad you are liking it. but haven't changed anything big in last couple days...?

agree likes are necessary, which is why I'm planning to implement paid likes. and just don't want to spin my wheels implementing free likes when I already have too many things to do.

ah ok then i misunderstood.

never said there is no value. just have many many things I want to implement and don't want to spend my limited time implementing something I will deprecate in favor of paid likes.

if i were a centralized entity I would implement free likes as cost is low and there is benefit. #[5]

in my view the two main modes of human communication to establish value are:

- words

- money

free likes have no words and cost nothing yet take up more bandwidth, processing, and storage due to volume unless you go centralized route.

paid likes will come to astral, but after media

https://youtu.be/Di6af-nMCSE shows how I have OP loaded already, go to another thread and go back to OP. Whatever causes the flickering, this should happen off screen. I think it's updating top elements last, causing to make flicker what's top.

sigh ok perhaps you are right. thats not great. I will see what else I can do.

hahah that is awesome. makes me want to get into art so I don't have to buy mass produced garbage anymore.

the graphic is beautiful btw.

damn thats a sick site. does it compensate creators pretty fairly?

I want to do strictly opt in ads. have advertisers stand up their own relay and pay to be available in astral classified feed (again opt in). then users can choose which company's relays to include in their classifieds feed. something like that.

no clue. but had to get it added to astral and learned the emoji is named 'call me'... and now can't disassociate it and just looks like call me emojis everywhere

yes i can see it in astral

everything is already de-bounced. on initial load I think it takes time to catch up with processing all the events streaming in, which is why there is a delay in the event showing in UI. but for me when I clicked on that thread everything loaded really quick

this should be fixed now... validating..

#python

thanks for letting nostr-verse know about this! it is fixed now.
