People underestimate and miss the genuinely profound and valuable insights in the Bible for many of the same reasons they underestimate and miss the world changing elements of Bitcoin.

They think they understand it, and don’t think it’s important enough to dedicate more time to understanding it. They see individual trees but miss the forest.

Example: look at the chiastic structure in Genesis 8. This is just one of thousands of examples of this kind of phenomenon in the Bible. Whatever you may say about it, you can’t argue that this was written by ignorant and/or backwards men.

The problem is that if anyone talks about the actual issues, like blacks committing violent crime, corrupt Soros DAs letting them go, and pedophiles running our government, everyone panics and immediately reverts back to "burn the witch!" mode.

Instead of artificially creating conflict, focus on superordinate goals like freedom or peace and build towards that as journeymen.

Will homogeneity actually cause Nostr to not survive though? I agree it won’t thrive as a homogeneous btc only echo chamber, but it seems anyone can keep Nostr alive so long as >1 peers are interested, like btc.

Nostr is a city.

It feels nice and peaceful right now because the demographic is homogenous.

Pure homogeneity can lead to stagnation and atrophy since no muscles are being challenged. This is unsustainable.

Twitter farmed engagement from intentionally causing conflict. Strategy of tension. Clearly this is also unsustainable.

It will be interesting to see if Nostr can attract the right balance demographics to survive and thrive.
