Maybe one of the reasons it feels so different here is that the people most attracted to a decentralized network like Nostr (and Bitcoin) are genuinely more curious and open, because they had to do the work to understand what centralization leads to.

Omg I did it! Successful day! Took an old MacBook Air I don’t use, installed Linux Mint (have never done this), installed Umbrel (never done that), and set up a Nostr Relay (simple as pie). Now I’m trying to figure out where to put the relay url in Tailscale. This is so damn cool. What a day!

To say this more clearly, it’s a different flow with zaps. With zaps the client uses the LNURL to request the bolt11 invoice and then passes that on to the paying wallet. With a non-zap payment, the wallet must be able to pull a bolt11 using LNURL, which Muun can’t do.
