Iām not a lawyer but these sort of actions should be illegal, pretty disgraceful if they are not.
Publicly I've seen at least 7.01 BTC from Jack... He zapped 1or 2 M a week ago.. and he got half of this .. I could be wrong but I dont think Jack gets anything in return... https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2022/12/15/jack-dorsey-gives-decentralized-social-network-nostr-14-btc-in-funding/
He gets the satisfaction of building and guiding the development of technology that will drive progress into the next century, with #Bitcoin that he purchased for Pennieās on the dollar.
Get your dry powder ready, it may be time to scoop up some even cheaper #Bitcoin
I don't think this applies to Forbes.., their editorial directive is to misdirect and misinform at every possible opportunity. They have destroyed whatever credibility they may once have had. #[0]
Large companies typically describe a patent, that at first glance appears ridiculous, but hide their real intent.
#[1]ā I honestly donāt know how you do it⦠every time I come back to Nostrgram you make some amazing changes , respect š«”
Thank you for the zaps. My wallet is not NIP-57 compatible so I canāt see who their from. Much appreciated š
You are saying this because you feel cheated and you want to get back at your parents, grandparents or what?
Interesting.. so how does one mitigate other than giving it away as periodic gifts?
You responding in kind

GIF attached to zap note show up in zap (notifications), not in wallet ācommentā. Havenāt tried zap with GIF attached in wallet comment though..
My understanding is that the Bitcoin in a transaction is allocated when in the mempool but stays in ones possession until the block is mined/confirmedā¦
#[0]ā acknowledgement of context presses to confirm operation would be a nice feature.
šÆ yes. We are definitely living in interesting times, with progress driven by a distributed flexible platform, oss, permission less access and most importantly a global money.
Whatās interesting, is to consider the āzapā economy developing on a protocol like #nostr and how individuals value sats for zaps, relative to their perceived view of value in fiat.
Makes a lot of sense actually, especially if you think that the infrastructure is built at a minimal cost, if any to artist, infrastructure builder (considered distributed) and consumer.
That assumes the decentralized model is more cost effective by at least a factor of 10, right?
I think of zaps as rewarding value add content.
If the OGās (Iām not one..) happen to be doing that and you appreciate them, then itās the individualās call to reward excellence and value as perceived.
