Muun is by no means ideal but was chosen because, in my experience, it is the only wallet that allows someone to get access to bitcoin and lightning in less than a minute. Hoping for better custodial options in the future.

Nothing is more permanent than a temporary central bank.

“In July 1944, a United Nations conference met at Bretton Woods in the United States to discuss the postwar international monetary system. The Bretton Woods Conference adopted a resolution calling for the abolition of the BIS "at the earliest possible moment", because it considered that the BIS would have no useful role to play once the newly created World Bank and International Monetary Fund were operational. European central bankers held a different opinion, and successfully lobbied for maintaining the BIS. By early 1948, the BIS liquidation resolution had been put aside. It was understood that henceforth the BIS would focus foremost on European monetary and financial matters.”

Where does the yield come from?

“Investigations after the war revealed that the Reichsbank had used large quantities of gold stolen from central banks in the occupied territories to make wartime payments to a number of institutions including the Swiss National Bank and the BIS. This gold had been remelted at the Prussian mint to conceal its origin. In this manner, during the war, the BIS received 3.7 tonnes of gold from the Reichsbank which, it emerged from German records captured after the war, had originally been looted from the central banks of Belgium and the Netherlands. The BIS cooperated fully with the postwar investigations led by the Allied Tripartite Commission for the Restitution of Monetary Gold and returned 3.7 tonnes of gold to the Commission in 1948.”

The pamphlet is an introduction and the instructions are for a personal wallet that can be set up in under a minute. The goal is to perform an exchange of goods for bitcoin with minimal friction and demonstrate the ease to use bitcoin. More complex ways of dealing with bitcoin can come later when the merchant shows more interest.

The only trade of is that it’s a power user tool. Not abstracted enough for noobs.

The choice of what money to use when conducting business with strangers might be the most important moral choice we do in our lives.

You can either exchange truth or lies.

Happened to me. Was told because I use multiple clients and the relays don’t know which follow list is most up to date so the just start a new one. 😁

Any non bitcoin groups or networks developing on nostr?

I was thinking something that could go on the feed and be shared easily

Meme collections.

A lot of folders just sitting around, with thousands of files with no incentive to be sorted or categorized.

Ah got it. Understood thanks

Would this be geared up to work as an alternative to Netflix and Spotify? Or more for long form text?

What type of digital content are you envisioning? Any and all?

That guy that hangs around the train station everyday asking for the last 50 cents missing for his train ticket is going to inspire the guy that’s going to hang around here asking for the last 1000 sats to finally get on that paid relay.
