One week to go nostr:npub1yrnuj56rnen08zp2h9h7p74ghgjx6ma39spmpj6w9hzxywutevsst7k5cx Event 8-10 Feb 2025 in Chiang Mai

Today already Nostr purple pilled 💜 a lady at the co-working. Most people who are interested in Nostr are such open-minded awake people. The conversations are beyond tech. It’s like often that there is already a connection on a higher frequency level. The chats are always so interesting 🙏

See you in a bit 🤩 Can't wait!!!

I completely agree with you. Bitcoin is, as the first page of the Whitepaper states, a peer-to-peer electronic cash system—not a tool to create a country’s "fake wealth" while continuing to print more fiat + making the currency that enslaved most of the world before even stronger.

Going further, I feel truly sad, shocked, and disappointed to see so many Bitcoiners cheering like kids in a candy store when questionable individuals, institutions with long-standing bad reputations, big corporations, and governments get involved. They say that's good for "mass adoption," but to me, it often feels like their ego's talking, not their brain (logic, values, or reasoning). -- "Yay, we’re winning! i.e. I’m winning! = Everyone suddenly 'loves' Bitcoin exactly how I wanted!" or "Yay, Bitcoin is taking over the world!" which really translates to, "I was so right // I’m going to be rich" (in fiat terms, of course). There are many similar sentiments (too many, sad).

I don’t expect everyone to be apolitical, but I'd also expect more people to hold onto their principles, maintain a humble approach, and keep their logic intact.

We don’t need mass adoption, especially pushed from the top by those who have never tried to fix the problems 'their' system actually created. We don’t need billions of people suddenly using bitcoin if it means relying on custodial solutions, strengthening fiat, or/and exploiting Bitcoin’s transparency (since the ledger is open and can be used against us). It all can mean losing sovereignty and bringing in masses who neither care nor understand what Bitcoin truly represents. Why do we need to push things so much?! Why? Ego...

What we need first is mass education. We need critical thinking, integrity, and understanding the true value of freedom, not huge headlines, idols, masses, millions of $, etc.

And, yes, I understand that Bitcoin is for everyone—even our "enemies." But let’s not forget that Satoshi gave us a tool to replace the current, broken system—not to fuel it. People—miners, node runners, and users—are the foundation of Bitcoin (ground zero). If these participants are just anyone jumping in without understanding (still fully rooted in the old system, often with shallow intentions) and combined with giving more power to the current system, we risk wasting the potential of one of the greatest inventions humanity has ever known.

Also, I think we’re going to face more and more situations like these—attacks, tests, and tempting scenarios. Maybe that’s just how things go, and if history repeats itself like it did in 2017, everything will turn out fine. Maybe. But I also feel the need to speak up about what I think. Relief to see that I’m not the only one who feels this way.

GM / Good afternoon ☺️ Happy, beautiful Wednesday to you. Greetings from Bangkok (wild... 🫣 not sure if I’m more impressed or scared by their driving skills)
