it feels like there has been a lot of time and energy spent on finding the next Bitcoin, but maybe the similar philosophy, goals, technology, and energy isnt on another blockchain but a different distributed network in nostr

😂 Bitcoin hasn't even gotten started yet. And you can tell this by how few people know about it. It's the only store of value you can keep in your head or secretly store for 10,000 years, with an absolute guarantee that the network will continue running at least for as long as humanity lives.

If there's a "next Bitcoin" it would have to be a starship replicator technology that makes all stores of value irrelevant. Otherwise Bitcoin accomplished something that just can't be accomplished again, because it exists.
