Good morning nostrworld! I think I'll need 2 cups of coffee this morning, having a slow start. Today I plan to start some more cuttings, texas persimmon I think. After that i'll look around to see what other trees I want to do. Also, i need to continue working on the trails, and I havent even started on mulching everything. As far as the critters, I really need to get more chickens, being down to 2 hens is not enough. Oh, and tomorrow we're supposed to take a food dish to church, so I need to make something. Hi nostr, been another busy day here. We started out at the resale shop this morning, and wow it was packed with people. My husband found a pulley with the rope on it for $3, and also a nice camo shirt for $2. He wanted the pulley for hanging deer. A couple months ago I found a mini greenhouse kit, brand new still in the packaging, for $6. Today we set it up, and its bigger than i thought. I was expecting one of those little shelving units that look like a bakers rack, but this thing turns out to be 5x5 feet square, with lots of shelf space. I put my little tree cuttings in it, and i'll be making some more cuttings tomorrow, texas persimmon I think. So the greenhouse was a good find for $6. So i spent part of the day working on potting my cuttings, then went for a nice walk. Its been an enjoyable day, and I hope yall had a good day too. So should i put the mini greenhouse in the garden shed where it would be low-light all winter, or better to put the mini greenhouse outside, out of direct sunlight?

Ok, i've potted up some cuttings, and i'll see how they do. If I get just a couple of them to root, I will consider it a success. I have 8 yaupon holly (Pride of Houston), and 4 mexican plum, and i soaked the cuttings in Garrett Juice first. Wish me luck. #gardening #permies #grownostr

I got my little kale starts in the ground, finally. Then I started packing some things for the trip, and checking off a few things on my list. We've been putting out extra food and water for the animals, plus extra hay because its supposed to get down into the 30's tonight.
My husband just received his new rock tumbler in the mail, so he's busy setting it up. It's one of his little hobbies, and some of those rocks actually turn out very pretty after tumbling.
