I think it's still in a probationary phase. I also did not say they were depressed because of unemployment. That was an additional cause of stress.
And I used "they" because they are non-binary btw. Didn't have enough space to add that but it wasn't really relevant either.
Ok. This is on behalf of my good friend who is in need of financial/mutual aid right now since they are no longer on fedi.
They only have an escooter as a means of commute which has broken and needs either repair or replacement. This is important because they only recently got a job so they do not have enough funds at hand to get this fixed right away, and are having to take rideshares to get to/from work currently.
They have been dealing with depression and unemployment for some time, and have even been too stressed to be online anymore (even to talk to me on Discord), but they said it was ok to put this out there for them in our last conversation.
The repair shop quoted them $700. I already sent what I could from my last paycheck, but it is still a long way off. Anything helps. Even a few dollars would mean a lot for them. I'd appreciate simply sharing this as well.

Deleted that GitHub account I made years ago but never even used once. It's just gross how it became a solely AI product in such a short time
Got back from my dad's place. He gave me that Walkman and I was able to replace the belt inside easily. It was just opening the case that wasn't intuitive so I had to look up a video and it wasn't too bad lol
But it works now! It plays tapes and it sounds fine. The Walkman uses 2 AA batteries and has AM/FM support too. Not too fancy but it's a decent model. Glad to finally have something that can play cassettes :blobfoxhappy:
