The game is on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles, if anyone's curious in checking it out. https://www.expedition33.com/

It's on Game Pass as well, so you can just install it for "free" on PC and Xbox if you're subscribed.

The Nintendo 3DS had a search engine ballot on first launch, apparently.

I recognize it’s still up for debate, but IMO as time goes on I’m more convinced that “AI” is just like every other new computer technology that’s spawned “computers will replace all our jobs” panics in my lifetime.

Besides, despite all these automations in workplaces today that humans used to do, I’m still waiting for that mythical 4-day work week to become standard.

I bought the stupid dbrand “touch grass” skin and it’s exactly what it says on the box. I would only recommend it to people who see these pics and go “I NEED THIS NOW”. If you even feel the need to think about it, you probably don’t want it.

I posted this photo to Mastodon, Bluesky, and Threads. Threads got the most engagement, but also had someone tell me that I only liked the single camera setup because I was too poor to buy anything else. An iconic internet reply on multiple levels 😂

Someone let me know that selected text on my blog was inaccessible when in dark mode, so I immediately fixed it and now it should look goooood 😁

There's an additional download you need to do to use image playgrounds and genmoji as well, so there is some control there.

Will be interesting to see how that evolves over time.

Not sure if this is new in iOS 18.3, but new phone setup now asks you to choose what types of apps you want to be summarized.

Heading home, but had to enjoy some Texas BBQ before leaving.

The iPhone USB-C “controversies” have already begun, but this one isn’t what you expected https://birchtree.me/blog/the-iphone-usb-c-controversies-have-already-begun/

nostr:npub1qw54rqswdc57yswxwst3n7dcsv2ssg3rjr5zevx62p9aqxn8k8mqjm037m I don’t think I understand a word in this post besides “Mastodon” 😂

Hot take that will ruin my mentions for the rest of the day…I think the bigger iPhones are better ergonomically *for me* than the iPhone mini.

Less eye strain on the bigger screen, larger touch targets, and since they are more often two-handed devices, I get much less finger pain using my Max than I did trying to contort my hand to use the mini in one hand.

Can’t remember if this is new in iOS 17 or not, but I appreciate the reminder that location data is in photos I share by default (tap “options” to remove it), but it should really be off by default IMO.

You can go into Settings > Privacy > Photos and go into each app and turn off location by default, but I don’t see a universal way to toggle it off for all apps.

Will happily update this if someone knows how to turn it off for all current and future apps by default!
