There's no algos here and the space is what you make of it. Nostr requires you to put in a tiny bit of effort for a big reward. I guess most people aren't willing to do that.
While that may be a decent litmus, its nowhere near foolproof and may filter out the very people who might otherwise have the most passion and staying power on nostr.
For example several members of my meetup group jumped on nostr today. They showed up with profile pics and lnaddresses cause I had been talking their ears off abt nostr for the past year. They simply came prepared and are very passionate. Immediately assuming they're illigitimate cause they came prepared to jump into the community seems backwards to me.
Yes, we need to fix this and be sure to drain those last 2% next time. What a waste leaving them there unused! There's probably hungry phones in Africa that would kill for that last 2% charge.
Alternatively they can just repost MSM articles straight up.

If you're looking for something a bit "lighter" to read in between all of those, pick up The Mandibles
It's a fiction that follows the lives of a super rich family just at the start of usd hyperinflation. A really good read and what's amazing is its NOT written by a bitcoiner. Yet if you read from a bitcoin lense, it's like a playbook and our current reality is maybe somewhere in the first third of the book

Principles of economics is good but it's a technical read. I suggest finish the bitcoin standard and then fiat standard first.
For the cost of one house in 2016 you can buy 110 houses in 2024 for the same amount of bitcoin AND still have 4 whole bitcoin left over.
Let that sink in.
