Nesses 43 anos aprendi que não é o que você fez ou acumulou que conta, mas quem você se tornou nessa jornada. Isso porque, quando a escuridão chegar, tudo que temos é uma coleção de memórias das pessoas que fizemos felizes e dos momentos que vivemos. Nada além disso.

A vida deixa pistas nessa caminhada, para ensinar a gente a melhorar. Se não tivermos humildade para sintonizar com os sussurros que a vida sopra no ouvido, acabamos sendo domados, de um jeito ou de outro, especialmente pela dor, a maior das professoras.

E todo ensinamento caminha no sentido de cortar o não essencial, de aprendermos a pisar mais leve na grama e sermos mais indulgentes uns com os outros, e com nós mesmos. Somos todos crianças, afinal, tentando acertar as lições de casa.
