Garbageman protects the bitcoin network from DoS attacks that can result from Libre Relay nodes relaying non-payment transactions, usually altcoin Ponzis.
Specifically, Garbageman is a node with a sane, more restrictive default policy that pretends to be a Libre Relay node in order to subvert LR's preferential peering mechanism, a custom feature LR uses in order to facilitate the spread of data spam on the bitcoin network.
Since data transactions are known for causing utxoset bloat and fee spikes, and since they compete with legitimate payment use cases, Libre Relay's preferential peering mechanism is a malicious exploit that makes bitcoin worse money, and in the worst case, prevents bitcoin from fulfilling its goal of becoming the world's dominant medium of exchange, perhaps permanently.
Since no one can stop LR nodes from peering with each other in this manner, the only defense is to beat them at their own game, which should be straightforward assuming there are many more GM nodes than LR nodes.

On August 26, bitcoin mining company Hut 8 unveiled its expansion plans with four new sites in the United States, adding a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts.
The announced expansion touches U.S. states with diverse regulatory approaches:
Texas: bitcoin mining facilities over 75 megawatts must register with the Texas Public Utility Commission;
Louisiana: in June 2024, it approved favorable legislation for bitcoin miners in industrial areas, aiming to stimulate the local economy by attracting new businesses in the sector;
Illinois: despite the absence of specific regulations for mining, the state has seen several dedicated facilities emerge in locations such as Bloomington-Normal and Effingham.
Two sites in Texas connected to the ERCOT grid will contribute 1,180 MW. Louisiana’s site, connected to MISO (Midcontinent Independent System Operator), will add 300 MW, while Illinois will see a 50 MW project linked to PJM (Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland Interconnection).

Controlling the pH of the soil is important for the health and growth of plants.
Here are some natural ways to adjust the pH level of the soil:
-Add organic matter: Incorporating organic matter such as compost, manure, or leaf mold into the soil can help lower the pH level naturally. This is because these materials contain acidic components that can help to balance the pH level.
-Use coffee grounds: Coffee grounds are acidic and can help to lower the pH level of the soil. Simply sprinkle them around the base of your plants.
-Use vinegar: White vinegar can be used to lower the pH level of the soil. Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar with one gallon of water and water your plants with this solution.
-Use sulfur: Sulfur is a natural pH adjuster and can be added to the soil in powdered form. Sprinkle a small amount of sulfur around the base of your plants and work it into the soil.
-Use pine needles: Pine needles are acidic and can be used to lower the -pH level of the soil. Simply spread a layer of pine needles around the base of your plants.
