Admitting Tesla fooled them makes them look like fools. Musk has seen enough of his customers idolize him to know what he can get away with (and he knows exactly how unlikely he is to face regulatory push-back).

" 'In the North Atlantic, however, temperatures have been warmer than climate models projected. That suggests “something somewhat extraordinary may be happening there,' Dr. Hausfather said."
I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER PEOPLE ON THIS PLATFORM DISPUTING MY SAYING THE ATLANTIC WAS HOTTER THAN EVER BEFORE.🙄

U2 at Arrowhead Stadium during the Zooropa tour, October 1992.
Was it the "best" show I've ever seen? No.
Was it a ROCK SPECTACLE? Oh hell yes. Trabants in the lighting rig. Giant video boards. Bono calling the White House.
I'm not sure I'll ever see a pure event like that again. And that's why it is my favorite.

🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 Hello Canadians looking for Canadian news (especially if you’ve been dependent on Facebook or Instagram links).
CBC has created an index of Canadian news media which is searchable by location. It brings up an interesting pot-pourri of digital, tv and radio sources although you can search for just one. There’s a French version as well.
I’ve already discovered some new (to me) small newspapers from nearby regions 😃

nostr:npub1qkmr80wwm28vtm7h2e9tms8nzcz86aquj5yvcqd9yljshxyd6n5sac4n9j sadly, for Sackville it lists the local newspaper that shut down years ago, linking to the useless entity that bought it.
It’s fascinating how news outlets like the CBC — now stripped of their presence on Faceboogle — still aren’t on here.
nostr:npub1c0mw8utq9avw4wy7w39hzt3ugurg7f8jcn9qmqqpswkc6alwxhjsevxqjl first encountered these in some design book 20ish years ago. People keep insisting that they’re more than an excuse to codify biases, and I keep not believing them.

Appalachia has families of people who speak unchanged 17th century dialects. They are fuckin incomprehensible to us now lol

nostr:npub1ysp44hs0pzhwt6n7m8vae6jhh35z6nzslkfaaef0fr8ws7wykgxsp3mvq3 one of my favourite lines from Cloud Atlas is when a character rebelling against his father’s racism is told his position makes him just a drop in the ocean. Live albums really need to be available in skip-the-4-minutes-of-witty-banter-and-anecdotes-you’ll-only—really-enjoy-once-(if-that)-at-the-ends-of-songs mode.
