The best preparation for the future is to use your rights and mechanisms in democracies to fight back, to have neutral legislation language to #bitcoin #freedomtech.

We need to educate policy makers in democracies to use neutral language in legislation towards to #bitcoin #freedomtech instruments. We also need to educate judges.

If we don’t do this, the first who are going to suffer are bitcoin developers, miners and end-users.

Women’s day is a perfect moment to say thank you for the endless fights of brave women and men, who supported them, many years ago.

I had a privilege to meet in my life a lot of brilliant and brave people, who helped me to prevail in the most difficult times. Yes, human rights defenders also need to be defended. ☺️

The most difficult was financial isolation and understanding that your banking data is a roadmap to kill everything you built and everyone you love. I received message after message, and my heart almost stopped with fear of who else had been arrested...

But I was able not only to survive thanks to #bitcoin, I try to scale and share my experience with others who financially excluded, defend developers and bitcoin from false narratives in regulations.

Im forever grateful to #bitcoiners that after 6years attacks of several regimes, I still can dream, love and believe that everything is possible.

Accountability to perpetrators is coming.

Spring is coming.

I vividly remember the sense of despair I felt as a teenager and later being experienced human rights defender due to the political persecution of my family.

I remember what it meant to me to receive the help and solidarity of perfect strangers to defend our rights.

Over the course of the 14 years of the Open Dialogue Foundation’s work, I see myself in the eyes of the families of politically repressed individuals who are fighting for their loved ones, and I see their joy after the release of political prisoners.

I deeply believe that supporting and defending people who peacefully oppose authoritarian regimes can help keep our fragile world a safe and comfortable place to live in.

Entire generations have given their lives to the cause of human rights so that we can live today in safety, prosperity, comfort, and with a sense of rights and freedoms as stable as those in the United States or the European Union. But as soon as we forget the price and the need to protect our rights, regimes immediately take advantage of the situation.

The ease with which your European bank account can become a weapon to attack, kidnap, and persecute all your loved ones is just one example.

But where do you prefer live? We are not at the stage to live outside the planet. It doesn’t mean Im happy about what is going on in democracies, but Im certainly against authoritarian and dictatorship regimes.

I believe that we should be responsible for the world we live in. Who has to make order of not us? And the most important why someone should please us if we don’t try to make effort for changes?

It is a common practice in such countries as #Kazakhstan. Have a look how police treat peaceful protestors who were wounded and hospitalized during mass protests in January 2022.

Most of them right now at prisons and sentenced for many years as terrorists, their families are financially excluded.

If we or activists in Kazakhstan will fundraise to support them, bank accounts will be frozen in less then 5 minutes.
