I’ve been watching quite a few of Les Blank’s music documentaries lately. Just watched a fantastic one on Mance Lipscomb: ‘A Well-Spent Life’ (1971).
Would highly recommend them if you’re interested in music, especially the blues, or documentaries.
I had a Pro-Ject Xpression 2 and hated it. There was a buzzing noise I could never get rid of,which apparently is quite common with Pro-jects. I stuck with it though until one day it started playing my records backwards!👹
If you’ve got the money go for a Linn — absolute classic.

I remember watching an interview once that Robert Altman did and he says how Kubrick called him after he saw McCabe. He loved it but there was once scene that he just needed to know how Altman managed to shoot it — Warren Beatty smoking a cigar on the porch in the rain, in very low light again. Altman says he has no idea, just did it, and Kubrick was really annoyed, he just couldn’t get his head around that fact that Altman basically winged it!
