I use GNU/Linux on my laptop and an ungoogled custom ROM on my Android mobile, because I don't trust em with their closed source bullshit.

Probably a bunch of reasons, including a smaller team, more focus on the UI design, and that they’re building desktop and mobile apps side-by-side. I don’t want to speak for nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr or nostr:npub1j7uc37l5lzyqfyley4c3ux7cqeshk5y060fgxy3gs5r7gtu2xd5qyc8lvw though, but I’d love to see them share a roadmap and development timeline.
Just too bad that they prefer iOS over Android, with the latter clearly being the lesser evel (I use an ungoogled custom ROM).
I use WOS and Phoenix, both integrate well with nostr IMO. I was unsure about trying Phoenix but I followed nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 video and it was pretty easy in the end thanks to his video-
I have already downloaded that video for home theater viewing but haven't the time yet.
But for now WoS will do, as I'm not really doing anything with it.

I have played around with the nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg web app and the Android app (v0.15.2), but neither supports creating a new account, is that right?
The web app requires a browser plugin providing the key and and although the Android app shows "Create account" on the start screen, that button doesn't work, only "Sign in".
That's unfortunate, because a nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg NIP-05 address and direct link to my profile would have been nice. Or is there any other way?

Being here on #Nostr as a #Bitcoin'er requires a different mentality than on X/Twitter, because there it's all about getting the word out, while here everybody already knows about it.
As for #Nostr clients, I'm not so sure yet.
For web access I'm currently testing nostr:npub1wnwwcv0a8wx0m9stck34ajlwhzuua68ts8mw3kjvspn42dcfyjxs4n95l8 and nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg, for Android I have installed Amethyst and nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg (though v0.15.2 is really Beta with lots of functionality still missing).
The server-side caching of nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg makes quite a difference concerning the lag that I'm experiencing with nostr:npub1wnwwcv0a8wx0m9stck34ajlwhzuua68ts8mw3kjvspn42dcfyjxs4n95l8 and Amethyst, but nostr:npub1wnwwcv0a8wx0m9stck34ajlwhzuua68ts8mw3kjvspn42dcfyjxs4n95l8 has a more complete working feature set right now, although there is a bug showing the handle instead of the display name (which is confusing if you create your keys and profile with nostr:npub1wnwwcv0a8wx0m9stck34ajlwhzuua68ts8mw3kjvspn42dcfyjxs4n95l8 as I did).
Can't say anything about Amethyst so far, because I have barely used it as I'm a lot more comfortable working on my computer (the mobile phone is for viewing, not writing, obviously).
