I like Monero as much as the next guy, but wouldn't delisting make it harder for people to get into it?

As it stands right now, I can only get Monero by getting Bitcoin for fiat and then converting that to Monero.

There's little to no market for Monero in where I live so it's practically impossible to get it even on P2P exchanges like Agoradesk.

I'd rather hold stocks in a legacy retirement account than Bitcoin ETFs

When one of these ETFs gets hacked or rugged or Coinbase fucks something up, there will be no bailouts for them.

Whereas if the banks fucks up my stonks they can just edit the spreadsheet to fix it.

They can make it temporarily more difficult in some places, but I don't think it can be stopped. Look at p2p torrents. Much less private and anonymous but still couldn't be stopped. And they tried hard.

Yes, but you can say that about Bitcoin or any other crypto too.

There is always a way to get around it though. Tor, VPNs, etc

People even use crypto from inside China and bypass the governments internet firewall they have there to access the wider internet

I wonder how many people that kepe saying this have actually bought anything from any of the tor markets. Very rare for someone not to accept bitcoin.

No amounts or addresses are visible on it's blockchain. Next to impossible to trace if used correctly versus almost every other crypto.

Mining is also much stealthier. You can mine on any general purpose CPU as opposed to noisy, hot, energy-hungry ASICs that only have one obvious purpose (bitcoin mining)

You're also protected from targeted miner censorship since all transactions look the same.
