It’s been an interesting week.
One of the reasons I started my podcast was to have open conversations about Bitcoin and life without family, friends and peers telling me to STFU.
It’s been less than a year, and I’m having a lot of fun. I’ve also picked up tips from guests who have mentioned that they no longer try to “orange-pill” people.
This week about 5 people, who had previously dismissed any talk about Bitcoin, spoke to me about it. They actually watch my podcast 🤯
Oddly, I didn’t know how to respond to them. I was afraid of scaring them away 😂 I think I become too “enthusiastic” sometimes 😂😂😂
I’m starting to understand the importance of just “being”. Doing my thing, not trying to help people (even though I really want to). It’s tough to watch a friend struggle and not offer up advice.
I didn’t expect to develop this type of insight from my little podcast. I’m so grateful to all the guests that have been on so far 🙏

So, is Paris a shithole?
I think it’s a beautiful city, but I’m not from Paris. In speaking to Theo Mogenet of nostr:npub18ull0tdnj9vugtq259k48szg80al44ta7g4fa85nvj3svaq7kt8s9udcl9 I can understand his frustration and desire to keep his city on top. But the effects of senseless regulations are being felt.
I happen to be in Paris yesterday. One thing that’s certain - there’s a palpable increase in the number of homeless people and solicitors around Gare de Lyon compared to 10 years ago.
But, there is still tremendous beauty in the city’s past accomplishments.
Life’s timing can be something.
I spent most of yesterday editing the full interview with Theo Mogenet, GM of nostr:npub18ull0tdnj9vugtq259k48szg80al44ta7g4fa85nvj3svaq7kt8s9udcl9 Europe. (Respect to video editors - the process is beyond challenging for an inexperienced girl like me.)
Anyway, we spoke a lot about French culture and attitudes. Specifically why it can be difficult for a French person who is accustomed to respecting status, hierarchy, and diplomas, to grasp an open-source and “flat” network like #bitcoin
There’s no one in charge. Anyone can spin up a node, unplug, move elsewhere, etc. There’s no private banker licking your boots to reconfirm your status.
As timing would have it, I’m hearing everyone talk about Deepseek so I take a break to check it out.
Then I check Nvidia’s stock price.
What does Nvidia have to do with Bitcoin and French culture?
Nothing.
Except for last year, I was “gently” put in my place by an “affluent” French person (with titles, assets, etc.) who explained to me that Nvidia was far superior to Bitcoin. The subtext being “I’m more important than you, therefore I know better”.
I resumed editing, painfully, but at least I had a little smile on my face.
