Here's the funniest serious question anyone has ever asked me to my face, and because it came from a client I had to answer without laughing.

It was in a music recording session I was engineering in 1995 at The Hit Factory (world-class studio) in Manhattan on a hot summer day. It was asked by a member of the artists posse who was sitting right under an air conditioning vent that was blowing cold air directly on him.
