Times New Roman is the superior font. 🥲
Happy New Year!
😅 Same! But I have too much going on at the moment. Waiting for someone to step up to do it 😎
nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w made Nostr Build Shack, which does event signing as well, among other things. It looks pretty slick.
45 minute wait. Depending on your starting percentage, percentage, and overall utilization of the charging station, it can take up to an hour to charge. New York City is a special place where nothing makes sense. But if you’re on a long drive
outside of the city, it’s quick - no wait and charge for ~20 minutes to get 2-3 hours of drive to the next charging station.
This is the queue to charge electric vehicles in Brooklyn. Welcome to hell.

I’ve had to scale back on my work with Comingle due to time constraints unfortunately. I’m cheering on all the other Nostr event apps out there!
I use https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Don’t think I would expand the utility of SatsPrice but understand why you might want that.
If you’re in New York City, nostr:npub1vtavk0dkfjd86j6799p09td3p7t82dfgr6jd9g8njhahcgsemhtsfpkjyp is at Artists & Fleas Chelsea Market every from Monday, November 10 (today) until Sunday, November 16, 11am - 7pm selling her candles from nostr:npub1frua22ptjrpkt8hw5ha4snlfercxqs00702gerttnykclpspxsgs45jex2
Go check it out! #nyc

First day feeling fully rested after a rough few weeks. 😊
Thank you! There are plenty of developers who are just as if not more deserving.
Proton Mail iOS is way better and faster now. I thought about leaving their service before because it was so bad.
It’s still terribly slow on web / desktop but I found a workaround: use Proton Bridge + IMAP email client (like Thunderbird or Apple Mail).
I’d love to have that! I’m pretty busy these days so I can’t do it at the moment.
I’ve filed a GitHub issue here:
That feeling when you finally upgrade your wife’s phone and computer to the latest major OS after two years of not doing so, while she’s sleeping without her noticing. 🫡
Sure thing. Sorry, I’ve been busy with work and traveling the past week. Let me get back to you soon!
Download my Safari extension, Nostash, and plug in your nsec there
https://apps.apple.com/app/nostash/id6744309333
Then, log in with “Extension”
iPhone 13 Pro is noticeably slower than the newer devices. I upgraded from 13 Pro to 14 Pro last year and it was obvious. iOS 26 seems to be running ok for me.
Leaving for a week-long business trip tomorrow morning and one of the legs underneath the bed decides to break. Added some makeshift support with cardboard boxes underneath so that my wife has somewhere to sleep while I’m gone but it’s janky as hell. Bad timing and we were planning to get a new bed next month for our new house. 😭
Sweet! I haven’t maintained it in a while but hopefully it’s working fine for you!

Our friends in Kyiv went to the bomb shelter yet again from 3-6am last night amidst so called peace negotiations. Putin is a dickhead indeed.

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s and I will be doing an Intro to Nostr and Damus workshop at Learning Bitcoin today at 1:30-2:30pm. There will be prizes so don’t miss it! 👀 nostr:npub1ku3r3n4hau650a5cjudhtja2pdfsr7yxjzda9lx2py4knr3ld69s7j4wnw nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955

Sorry about the warning. I can assure you Nostash will not do any of those things. The only thing it does with respect to changing the page is add JavaScript functions onto the webpage window to access. I don’t think I can restrict the requested Safari extension permissions further. In theory, a malicious extension could read the DOM to scrape sensitive information, but that’s not what is happening. Nostash is open source so anybody can inspect it as long as you believe that is the code that I shipped to the App Store, and the app has been reviewed by Apple, so take that as you will.

Thanks to nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s for cleaning up my vibecoded Rust localization additions to Damus Android/Notedeck. Having app translations is critical to reach the global audience. English is not the only language in this world, and not everyone is fluent. It’s the responsibility of builders to make their software as widely accessible as possible.
I can’t take all the credit. Our translators: nostr:npub12r2xlvrjp5v0psx76frx9nauy7dyfjdxdrgw5qtg3h7lk0z2g7ksejmnwd (German), nostr:npub1mpz30qp2gdr403t2apjzhla56fh94hs8zgznw5pp26q0tztw27dsu60pxm (French), and nostr:npub1raspu6ag9kfcw9jz0rz4z693qwmqe5sx6jdhhuvkwz5zy8rygztqnwfhd7 (Chinese) did a lot of work here. More to come soon!
Yes, but there are legitimate reasons why a NIP-05 service provider might not want to do that:
- Doesn’t scale. Imagine if there were a million users
- Privacy reasons. An organization may not want to reveal the entire directory to protect its users.
Popular providers already don’t return the raw nostr.json.
Calling all Nostr NIP-05 service providers. Anyone interested in adding NIP-05 bulk queries so that you don’t get accidentally DoS’d? Damus currently queries NIP-05 providers N times to build NIP-05 web of trust feeds. It’d be great if I could query only once instead of 600+ times for popular domains like NostrPlebs or Primal.
This gathering on protocols for publishers (ATProto, MCP, …) in August might be of interest of New York-based media thinkers: https://pfp.unternet.co
Are you attending?
Cool. What do you think about merging with the NIP-55 Android signer spec? It feels weird that the URI scheme is “aegis://“. Why not use the same “nostrsigner://“ scheme and converge with what Android does?

Terry's NostrSearch.com domain is having issues, but you can access the one quick deploy solution at https://npub1zsxrty4gg9nsad8smlmh7r4nuprjzdjmtzhzlka0x3wpezvfha0q35f6hq.shakespeare.to/ and test out his NIP-19 search. It's pretty technical at the moment, but the potential is there. Great work, Terry!

Thanks for the support! It seems that Namecheap’s URL redirect solution seems to not work for https. It does with http, and it does redirect to the https shakespeare link. At some point, I’ll look into deploying it on my own server so that it fixes this problem. But here it is:
Nostore is no longer supported by the original developer. I forked it and made improvements. It’s called Nostash. Please use this one instead.

Thoughts on how Nostr compares with Pubky.
Damus 🫣 we should fix that
I buy my domain names 10 years at a time (and then proceed to never use them).
