I'm gonna try and remove my accidental report of #[1] 's profile manually, from the command line, as an exercise to better understand Nostr

I'm looking at Snort's implementation of "NIP-09: Delete Events"
Looks like the action is happening in EventPublisher: packages/app/src/Feed/EventPublisher.ts
Looks like it just sends an event with the same ID as the one to delete, with type 5, and an empty "reason"

Highly consistent design : if you can't delete a note, it follows that you can't undelete a deleted account ;-)
Ok
I use Snort to delete notes and believe this is because it implements "NIP-09: Event Deletion"
But perhaps profile updates are not events, idk
Snort has implemented Nip-09 but other clients not, for some really weird reason I do not understand

Imagine an exchange as notes on nostr that are input by bots
The traders can set a meeting for settlement of whatever they are trading for Bitcoin on encrypted notes and even private community server
Reputation is linked to npub

nostr is more programmable than twitter, even before twitter closed their api
nostr is suitable to build bots that interactively replace online forms
Indeed, the note I published on Amethyst and deleted on Snort disappeared from Amethyst, but only after some considerable delay
And this is how #[4] 's profile looks
Btw clicking "show anyway" does nothing in this view, though it does show the note when I click it from the timeline
π #[0] I mistakenly flagged one of #[1] 's posts and now I can no longer see his posts π’
Any way to revert this action ?
Btw using Snort to upload screenshot as it doesn't work on Amethyst (just updated)
I can see #[2] 's profile in snort
I cleared all app data on Amethist but problem persists
Thanks π !
@LocalBitcoins is exactly the kind of service I have in mind that just died in normieland but could THRIVE on Nostr
There is nothing more critical than a way for local communities to bootstrap Bitcoin adoption

Nostr makes me itchy for making new apps ! What a feeling -
I'll get my hands dirty in the following days and share some thoughts here
