Oh good grief. That’s rough. He does indeed, but sometimes I wish he would explain things ahead of time. 😂
Thank you. That is a good size. My husband was looking at the 50 gallon ones and we were worried that those would be too big to reach down to the bottom. BTW- I have been praying for you and your wife. I hope you are recovering well from your surgery and that she is feeling strong and healthy.
Anybody have a favorite way to store extra chicken feed? We buy a 3 month supply at one time, and just added to our flock… so like 30 birds now. We have a few plastic mismatched trash can type feed cans, but I’d like to improve on this if possible. Would you do food grade steel? Some kind of tote? TIA #chickens #grownosrt #question #homestead #backyardchickens
Great idea. Will check it out. And yes. My tolerance for cheap coffee is dwindling. I need a good travel coffee kit.
Good idea. I grabbed some of their delicious 🙄 powdered eggs and had some keto friendly beef sticks I brought from home. A nice breakfast would have been better. At least I am getting lots of work done.
Nice little nugget of wisdom this morning. Fits exactly with something I was praying about. Thanks!
Hotel room coffee. Ick. One night away from the homestead and I am already homesick. Don’t know what to do with myself without hubs, the fur babies and chicken chores. So. Much. Free. Time. #grownostr #coffeechain #noplacelikehome #homesweethomestead #rathernottravel

My mom gave me my grandma’s cheese slicer. I actually had the impulse to smell it to see if I could still smell her kitchen. Silly I know. We lost her during COVID and we’re not allowed to visit. She was amazing. One of my biggest heroes in life.

Seems that when the totes were washed, via the l screw on lid up top, the lids were not screwed down tight. One of them was my fault. I remember opening it and thinking that I needed to get a mallet or something to tighten it better. We did end up having to empty the second one and tighten the cap.
Remember that time we built wicking beds and forgot to check the lids on the top halves of the IBC totes to be sure they were on tight? Yep. Epic fail. So far only one is having to be completely redone. Maybe two. We will see. Ugh!

Ok I think I fixed it. Had to go on the laptop and go in through snort.social, which would only allow me to follow and all if I used the private key. Which defeats the whole purpose of using Alby to generate your keys doesn’t it? Man I’m learning slowly with all of this and I am the techier of the two of us!
On the Damus iPhone app @DBNSC has nothing in his feed and shows nothing for “following” or “relays” like I see on my profile. If I try to follow someone again it unfollows them. It is behaving nothing like it does in my phone. #grownostr #technicaldifficulties #trying
Please welcome #[0] to #nostr It has been clunky, but I think I may finally have him set up and zapable . #grownostr #onboardthefamily #freedom #betterthanfacebook
Nope I am wrong. They are different. I’m stumped.
Ok wait. The generated pub key is the same for both accounts. Aw man. I guess I need to delete and use another computer??
Trying to set hubs up on Nostr. I opened an Alby wallet for him but can’t seem to find where you generate a Nostr key inside of Alby. I know I did it for mine. The tutorial says you have t generate a key, but it doesn’t say where to generate it. Any tips?
Good morning, Nostr folks! One coffee and some peppermint tea down. Now, it's time to get some solid reading in. Today, I'll be starting off with some internet #privacy articles I bookmarked last night. Here are a few that might also interest you:

Great info. If zap you if I could.
We have been splitting a bulk order of high quality organic, soy free chicken feet with a local farmer for a few months now. We also started fermenting the feed. 5 cups each day on a 3-day fermenting cycle (for 15 birds). Plus they get some kitchen scraps and have a large fenced off area of yard to roam. The chickens love the fermented feed.
I got behind last week and just gave them some food with water added the same day. They wouldn’t eat it. They will eat it dry, but they pick out their favorite bits and make a mess of the rest.
They still act like they are hungry, but I’m 99% sure that’s just what chickens do. They are all looking healthy. I’m about to start fermenting for our month old chicks too.
