If you want to quickly spin up a DynamoDB Table with an IAM User that can only access that Table, you can use the following tool I generated today.
May be useful for anyone seeking to use serverless key:value storage with #rstats or really anything.
Whats nice is the tool provides easy method to delete the stack and all the resources created in it, so you can easily clean up when the data table has fulfilled its purpose.
I ran in to an issue using #rstats .Rdata files being updated on a schedule. Something went wrong and the object got corrupted.
Going to build a small package that accounts for this. Distribute the files, so if a file becomes corrupted you dont lose all your data.
Doesnt seem this already exists but would be grateful if someone could share if it does.
Will also build in partitioning so if your data is large, you can load from specific parts.
A single node solution, not a replacement for cluster distributed data storeage.

I hit an issue using a "free" image hosting site with an API. I decided on using Amazon S3 instead.
This small repo allows you to use bash to create a bucket, provision a limited IAM user for it and make its contents public - plus clean up when done:

This should come with the obvious disclaimer that making S3 buckets public can make you have a bad day - so use with caution.
I can now use aws.s3 in #rstats to upload images to a fresh bucket and remove as soon as its fulfilled its purpose.
