Classic Alt Seasoning -

An excruciatingly toxic blend of bitter herbs and sun-dried tear salt, which brings out the full true flavors of all your favorite shitcoins. Now on sale (probably for a limited time) at "crypto" exchanges everywhere.

I'm not a contrarian, I just don't agree with anyone, including myself.

BTC is making new ATHs above 77k on a Saturday night. How does that make you feel?

Developing nations may soon invest billions in Bitcoin monthly, according to David Bailey. To which I reply: Of course they may, who could stop them?

There is recent rumor of the Trump administration classifying BTC as money rather than property, thus eliminating the capital gains tax on Bitcoin transactions. This would impact and accelerate Bitcoin adoption massively imo, and obviously impact the economies of the world.. What say you?

Most of what seems wrong in today's world could be corrected by just reorganizing 39 letters, as follows:

Abolish: CIA NSA FBI ICE ATF IRS FRB IMF

Diminish: USD EUR GBP YEN

Establish: BTC

Bitbo says only a few countries and gov'ts actually hold BTC in treasury.

US is first - 207k btc

China 2nd - 194k btc

UK 3rd - 61k btc

Ukraine 4th - 46k btc (surprises me)

El Salvador is 6th - 6k

I suspect the top 3 gained their current bitcoin treasure through seizure not investment, and hesitate to sell it mainly due to ignorance or sloth. But some civil servants may be saavy to its potential value.

In sum, this shows pretty low understanding of Bitcoin's importance in the future of world commerce and prosperity.

What’s your take on how the U.S. or EU should respond to Russia and the BRICS considering Bitcoin? Should they embrace Bitcoin more aggressively to counterbalance these moves?

Definitely - Desperately - Da да. Yes. Everybody knows the US and EU are both in fiat fiscal purgatory even now. Many and most other nations are too. Bitcoin could actually cure a lot of what ails this tortured world with firm fair fast money, and Vladimir could get it too if he figures it out. The nations of the world need to see what's wrong with free-trade and try to make it right.

I think I need some NVDA in the portfolio, but I'm hesitant to buy at the ATH.

Market Tracking the Proxy Portfolio

I've got a sell order open on MSTR which went up a little today but didn't execute yet

I've got a buy order open on TSLA which went down a little today but didn't execute yet

And coicidentally, they both traded at exactly the same price, ($216.64), briefly today.

So, nothing really happened and everything is going to plan.

Patience is a virtuoso.

Odler Hodler's comment, speaks to a key feature of Bitcoin: fungibility. Fungibility means that each unit of a currency (or commodity, like gold) is identical and interchangeable with any other unit of the same currency, regardless of when it was acquired or who owned it previously. Here’s what Odler Hodler might mean: Fungibility of Bitcoin: No matter when or how he acquired his bitcoins, each one is worth the same as a newly mined or newly purchased Bitcoin. All bitcoins are treated equally on the blockchain and in the market, regardless of their "age" or previous value. In other words, 1 Bitcoin is always 1 Bitcoin. Value Over Time: Even though the value of Bitcoin has fluctuated significantly, and Odler's older Bitcoins were likely purchased when the price was lower, they still hold the same market value today as newly purchased Bitcoins. The age of his coins doesn’t matter; what matters is the current market price. Fairness: Odler is suggesting that this system seems "fair" because it doesn't penalize or reward someone based on how long they've held Bitcoin — the market value is determined solely by demand and supply at any given moment. His old Bitcoins have appreciated in value over time, but the intrinsic equality of each Bitcoin means they are equally valued now as newer Bitcoins. Essentially, Odler Hodler might be celebrating the idea that even though his bitcoins are older and bought at a lower price, in today's market, they're worth just as much as any new bitcoins. This shows how Bitcoin has appreciated in value, and he benefits from its market-based valuation system.

Odler Hodler (on NOSTR) says:

"Most of my bitcoins are getting old, like me. But even though they weren't worth near as much when I bought them, they're all worth just as much as the ones anybody just bought today. So, that's fair, right?" - What could he mean by that?

Perfect answers only.

By no means and under no circumstances whatsoever should anyone not have any Bitcoin.

Many people are expressing concern (or even despair) over the Bitcoin price falling recently, down 11% in the past 30 days. But to the extent that its relatively short history can predict, this is normal price action after a halving. In the 18 months since January 2023 Bitcoin is up 300% against the US dollar.

Hence the saying: When in doubt, BTFD.

Having given it some serious thought, we've concluded that it does indeed suck to not have any Bitcoin.

So obviously, the best solution to this and many other problems in the world, is to: Don't not have any Bitcoin.

Unfortunately you can no longer acquire Bitcoin any sooner than right now. So you might want to get right on with it if you need to.

😎

Bitcoin is consolidating around $70k with modest volume on the exchanges and huge buys behind the scenes. And yet this TX which confirmed instantly proves that you can still post a transaction on the main chain for under a dollar.

---- Alt Seasoning----

I know a guy who's all-in on Alt Season. His prized portfolio is:

50% Ethusium

25% Solama

15% Corbanox

5% Rubble

5% Doozsh

HIs current weighted performance YTD is -36% against Bitcoin.

He does however, still hold a fabulous (though illiquid) unrealized short-term gain which he says he doesn't want to take now anyway, for tax reasons.
