Announcing v0.2.4 of Roameo -- the #OpenSSH plugin for #RoadWarriors: https://github.com/mattgeddes/roameo
My predictions for 2024:
1. We aren't done receiving unsolicited 2024 predictions from folks trying to sell something.
2. We aren't done with the AI-will-kill-us-all hype yet.
3. We aren't yet done with the hype around using AI for everything.
4. A number of very important technical advancements will go largely unnoticed in the noise.
🤓
Ever wondered how to streamline ssh when going through an intermediary jump host?
This would be a potential logical follow-on:
$ ./wallet service provision nostr-relay
Or UI to the same effect...
What if we stopped thinking about #DNS in terms of domains and hostnames that point to a semi-permanent location, but rather as a namespace collection of services that point to an on-demand location? Like if nostr-relay.mattgeddes.web3 resolved to on-demand instances of my personal collection of #Nostr relays.
Got around to updating my c.2001 PowerBook G4 to #OpenBSD 7.4 #macppc from 7.2. It has #LLVM 16, so maybe I can port #RustLang to powerpc-unknown-openbsd... 🤔

Because I love irony, given that it's possible to compile COBOL to WASM, it ought to be technically feasible to use an archaic language notorious for its use in traditional banking, to write smart contracts for Blockchain. 🤔🤓🤯 #WASM #Blockchain #Banking #SmartContract #COBOL https://github.com/cloudflare/cobweb
Some background as to why we at Versatus chose Web Assembly (WASM) as a target for smart contract execution: https://incomplete.io/wasm/why-wasm-versatus/index.html
