Been talking to Izzy?

Stop emptying out the faucet πŸ˜‚

Also this is eCash so the Bitcoin is really just sat there whilst the notes circulate :)

Where's the torch at now?

Chat + Zaps -> Chaps ?

My email is basically all GitHub notifications - need to look into that when I get a minute

I need to build a biltong box

Would make a good Fedimint module, would make the pay out a little smoother as you could dyanmically assign the recipient - tricky in DLC

Threshold esrcow for vault signed by the nominated Devs at the heart :)

I like space chains - Reuben is a good bitcoiner :)

There have been propsals to add statechains inside Fedimints from very early on that would be a simimilar and benefits from some of the functions already available but gives you better trust assumptions on your bitcoin if the eCash note instead becomes a statechain claim.

Fedipools (poolimint) that pays out directly into a Stability Pool for miners who need to manage USD liabilities.

Or the provider side of the pool, for the truly bullish.

Wen AI that can ask a colleague how to Google something for you?

Ha ha - just idea vomiting into Nostr for now :)

Nostr is going to be invaluable for price discovery in Bitcoin when they shut down the exchanges

Classic "Other stuff"

Also how about "where does liquidity come from for stability pools"

We're there. This is classic "other stuff" :)

So we get "Frostr" and have Federation Guardians automate notices that are verifiably co-signed by the guardians published on Nostr

"Hey we have an interest rate here at xyz% come add funds to our stability pool"

Nostr becomes a marketplace to connect liquidity to earn a fee on Bitcoin. Match this with fidelity bonds for mints etc for trust :)

Getting a new phone number and just not telling anyone who isn't a close friend and keeping the old one alive in a drawer was one of the better moves :)

Mainly that the market wants dollars, doesn't care how they're issued, is willing to take risk and will seek out the easiest way to make this happen.

The piece I don't think he appreciates is that this is true or everyone and Eurodollar is heavily gated to large institutions.

Fedimints+Stability pools takes this and democratises access so a small community can now run Eurodollar style system with minimal risk

It's objectively better, lower risk, better settlement guarantees etc

This is probably missing nuance as an answer :)

Thanks.

How about Fedimints + stability pools = low barrier to entry decentralise Eurodollar system :)

Basically Jeff Snider is correct but we still win.

The same drivers for establishing Eurodollar system are true, he's correct about incentives but once you have "Bitcoin Stability Providers" (BSLs...?) Bitcoin allows it to be done more, cheaper and better πŸ˜‚

Right now this is more of a bandwidth problem to get it written down... I feel like it would be good to just have someone fire questions at me for a while to get it out of my head though and then tidy up!

Also there are likely to be arbitrage opportunities here, which always helps to incentivise these things :)

Broadly speaking I think if you are a power user in a community - running services that are accessed by the community will be a good local business model :)

How so?

Gateways sir.

Broadly deployed Fedimints will popularise gateways.

People will suddenly realise how nice it is to switch seamlessly between different custodians for different features.

Then they'll remember that liquid is actually a really nice way to issue assets and that they can be custodied and used in Fedimints :)

Basically I expect that liquid, fedimint, peerswap will come together as a Taro alternative by the end of the year.

Also Taro will be good in Fedimints as well - helps with the universe problems by my read.

Fedimints will be good for Liquid.

Seems controversial but true.

Barefoot run with a jump into a freezing pool all in beautiful Perth winter sun. Lovely.
