Many people like to use Bitcoin Pizza Day as a platform to discourage bitcoin spending but any money you have spent throughout your life could have been sats stacked instead.
We should all consider reducing our expenses to maximize the amount of sats we save long term but personally I would rather spend bitcoin than shitcoins like the dollar.

seems like a lot of extra work... for what? a taxable event? It's a great idea for people who have extra time to bootstrap the btc economy, and I'm glad they do it to help development. but for busy people, it's just not worth the hassle.
Plus, all you're doing is giving away fees and putting yourself at risk if you buy on a centralized exchange, which is the only quick way to replace the spent sats - P2P non KYC platforms are good for stacking, not for replacing sats spent on daily stuff.
For the record, i sold my children's homeschooling materials to stack sats this winter... so I'm all in, just have to maximize my time.
I agree and if we dont spend #bitcoin it will never be money. I see it like that, we spend bitcoin for adaption of bitcoin and then we buy with #FIAT the same amount back. Problem solved, right?

I get irritated when people mock Laszlo for spending his bitcoin. What we have here is a parallel system that allows us to be more self-sufficient from too-big-to-fail systems that sully everyone in it, so why would we NOT use it to its full potential? If someone is hodling but not spedning, are they really running bitcoin?

When you have the ability to buy things privately with bitcoin, do it. Replace thoses sats by selling fiat and try to buy more more sats than you spend

This is why my go-to hashtags for boosting many posts are #OptOut and #UseBitcoin. Just saving in Bitcoin is not enough. People need to use and transact in it or we're only realizing half of it's true monetary utility.

For me the conversion to sats is a one way street. Save and spend sats, never sell them to hold fiat.
Spend and replace increases velocity of Bitcoin in the circular economy and normalizes receipt of Bitcoin by merchants. Definitely better to spend and replace.
I don’t spend because I don’t want to worry about tracking taxable events. Hoping that gets clarified in time so we don’t have to worry about that.
