"Freedom of speech is being able to tell someone else something they don't want to hear." "No matter what you say, someone is going to be offended." "Once you realize that politicians are not altruistic, and that they're in politics for themselves and their own personal gain, then everything makes sense." "No one is above the law." "Have you ever met a poor politician?"

Happy Wednesday!

Did indeed have some rain yesterday...will muddy up the rivers a bit, but should clear in a day or so (assuming no additional rain).

Have that "crisp" morning temperatures today...fall is coming. (And I do wish we'd stop with the daylight savings time--always makes that first week feel really weird).

Time for a coffee...

Shortsighted...AI is the most dangerous invention man has ever created...

If not "computational power" what differentiates human intelligence from AI?

(I'd argue that currently it's the "computational power" of the human mind)

If so, then adding "computational power" to AI would be the critical piece to creating actual intelligence.

I'd much prefer AI is kept locked in that room...as (at least currently) there is no way to teach AI morality.

Part of the personality of creative folks I'm afraid...I"ve seen so many unfishined projects--devs get excited with a new idea, do a proof of concept, prove to themselves it'll work (or run into a roadblock that they'll "get to later") and then...the next cool idea comes along.

Not sure what it is, but it seems very common - and often a characteristic of many of the most creative devs. It's like they need a partner (or partners) to actually polish and finish their work when they move on to the next thing.

One more indication that code is much more of an "art" than folks realize...

Happy Tuesday!

Supposedly going to rain today, and it kind of looks like it. But then again, we had tremendous weather for the weekend, so a little rain to balance it out is perfectly fine.

Just an excuse to sit on the porch and watch the rain (with a cup of coffee of course).

Please continue to share your work--would love to see more!

Oh absolutely! Nothing as pretty as the perfect dimes of a TIG master!

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day - enjoy the day off!

I'm starting mine with a nice cup of coffee--I heartily recommend you do the same...

nostr:npub1q6ya7kz84rfnw6yjmg5kyttuplwpauv43a9ug3cajztx4g0v48eqhtt3sh I'm hoping you can come up with a reasonable substitute (although we all know there really isn't one)

Another beautiful day--a bit cool, but sunny (will warm up) and deer in the back yard.

Hot cup of coffee, life is good...

Ok, help me understand this a bit more--my impression was Meshtastic would help you go point to point with other Mesh users--but with MeshMap it seems you can connect in general with anyone?

Man, I've got to get started with this...very cool.

Happy Saturday!

Another beautiful day in store here...can't complain about the weather--some of the nicest of the entire year!

Going to have to get out and do something fun today...

(Yes, and of course that means starting with a coffee!)

Happy Friday!

Looking forward to the weekend--weather cooling down, and should be perfect weather to spend some time outdoors.

For some reason, my coffee seems especially tasty today - must be because it's Friday!
