The new #anbernic #rgCube looks DOPE! Same processor as the #RG556, but with a square screen which makes it great for old vertical #arcade shmups and #pico8 games. If they had put three face buttons on it like the #rgArc I'd have bought a dozen!

Nobody wants to describe it that way because it makes proof-of-work sound so incredibly wasteful, but to me--as a programmer who understands how hard it actually is to do anything at random, or to prevent malicious humans from gaming a system--it's fucking brilliant! It's simple, elegant, and it works. The energy use is simply the cost of the very difficult task at hand. A task that needed to be done, without central authority. It's worth every watt!
