Months ago I suspected I had malicious software on my computer and reformatted. This week I was frustrated about duplicated USB entries in device manager and through a deep dive discovered a complex and sophisticated virus on my PC which I expect is the Black Lotus virus.
I reformatted (three times, win10 from disk image, 10 from the cloud and 11 from bootable media) and each time I watched the software restore the permissions required to covertly establish controls over my system.
I’ve likely had this infection for close to a year and I have to say I’m impressed with its ability to protect itself and remain relatively undetectable. I’m trying not to lose my cool over what kind of information and meta data exists about me now, but one thing is for sure… I better start my onlyfans career before someone does it for me LMAO.
