Had a guy come in to my shop that needed a replacement axle for an old British sports car called the Warwick GT. Apparently they only made like 50 of them and he canβt find a replacement so making one was the only option. Cool part to make, usually I donβt even know what it is Iβm even making, I just get a blueprint or a CAD model. Not finished yet but this was the meat of the work, removed 40lbs of chromoly steel grade 4340. #cnc #machining #diy

Yes, I know there are 3D-printed guns, but I also feel this knowledge is important in the event of war, a cyberattack, or anything else that could limit or prevent access to a 3D printer. A Luty may not be the best or the most accurate design, but the ability to manufacture one also doesn't depend on access to digital technologyβand that makes it very relevant.
