"Vanguard Adds New $100 Account Closure and Outgoing Transfer Fee"
Just a coincidence that VG never had an exit fee for decades, in Jan 2024 blocks bitcoin ETF buys, then in May 2024 announces steeper exit fee than all of their competitors, right?
What do you Think about this?

"he is a she/her".
Roger that.
available on antennapod...sharing from there links it as soundcloud
I'd suggest CC over trezor.
the model T does have more functionality over the original model. both can be pwned easily if the attacker has physical access to the device.
both have btc only firmware you can run, but that doesn't change the fact that the company spends a lot of their time working on shitcoin BS instead of working on making a better hodl storage device.
do trezors have value? probably.
in a world where CC are available, would I ever suggest one for storing someone's hodl? no.
if price doesn't make sense for a CC, it shouldn't make sense for a trezor either...just repurpose an old phone and run bluewallet or envoy on it.
passports are solid choice too, btw
for someone who earns median W2 income in the US, which is a more valuable asset for the federal gov in a given year?
1. the taxes they pay on wages and capital gains
2. the cumulative demand on the price of USD that results from transacting in USD, and their holdings of USD instruments (cash, bank deposits, MM funds, bonds)
TIL there is an ETF that tracks Nancy Pelosi's portfolio 🤡
Outperforms the S&P500 so far, ofc
Shadowbane can always sniff it out though...

Over the next few weeks, my “Bitcoin beginner” friend/colleague will move a decent amount of coin from an exchange to self-custody. I’m thinking we’ll start with Sparrow Wallet, to learn about key restoration and UTXOs (or is BlueWallet better for this?) and then to a HWW from there.
My question: should I make sure she installs a VPN on the computer first? Personally, I never do a Bitcoin transaction without a VPN enabled, but I don’t want to overwhelm a newbie with a digital privacy sermon, at the same time as our welcome-to-Bitcoin session.
nostr:npub1ltt9gry09lf2z6396rvzmk2a8wkh3yx5xhgkjzzg5znh62yr53rs0hk97y, how do you approach this question with your clients? nostr:npub1f6ugxyxkknket3kkdgu4k0fu74vmshawermkj8d06sz6jts9t4kslazcka what about you?
Thanks frens 🙏🫂🫡
once sparrow is set up and talking to coldcard via the channel of your choice, send and receive a few test transactions.
setting up a wallet on sparrow and receiving are important steps, however the true crux of testing a new setup is to spend out of it.
I'm an advocate of not asking questions that imbue an aspect of social pressure to do a certain thing or tacitly imply that one's timeline should be hastened.
ie if in a relationship, "when are you getting engaged?"
if engaged, "have you set a date yet"?
if married, "when are you having kids?"
These are plans for the partners to decide on their own timelines...or not if that's their prerogative.
original Ocean's Eleven, Sammy Davis Jr?
that one gets stuck in my head sometimes too
BREAKING: zkSNACKs Coordinator is Now Blocking US Residents and Citizens
"In light of recent announcements by U.S. authorities, zkSNACKs is now strictly prohibiting U.S. users from using its services. An IP address blocking for U.S. residents is effective on wasabiwallet.io, api.wasabiwallet.io and zksnacks.com."

what do American UTXO's look like?
if you were using their coordinator & they go down, just means there won't be any collaborative txns. your utxos will stay as-is.
the bitcoin is always in your custody, never the coordinator. they never have/had the ability to stand between you and your sats.
Any Samourai users who had funds in their wallet...if you don't run your own node, and have been using their servers, the wallet might not work now. Great opportunity to get acquainted with Sparrow.
PS when importing your seed, keep in mind that your Samourai password is actually a wallet passphrase in Sparrow.
now where was that dang samourai apk file...
