If you previously installed the app via the Aurora app store, you need to uninstall that version before installing the apk version.
If you don't have the Aurora app store, you're probably running a Google version of Android. I thought, you needed to install apks via a side loader app from a PC in that case (could be wrong tho).
Screenshots help if you can snag one.
Amethyst v0.12.0 is out. This release uses a new way to hit relays in the hopes of being a massive performance improvement from v0.11
Since all the pipes were re-wired in the entire app, please expect some bugs. Also, keep in mind relays are quite inconsistent right now, making it hard to know if the problem is in the app or with the relays (clicking in the relay setup in the top bar gives some clues of which ones are active/sending data).

Looks really solid Vitor.
Stable & responsive so far. π
I always saw it as a shadow puppet.

HR complaint incoming.
Disciplinary action is unlikely however as HR will never be held accountable.
Who's the CEO again?
Is it this dude still? He works such weird hours.

Snowden only held the CMO position for a week, but he did an amazing job.
I think the π pic day was too much for him, it was too much for me. What's a global feed anyway?
It is the way π€
I see nostr fixing this.
The data within nostr message is already cryptographically signed.
We'd need a way to incentivise relays to accept & persistently store these larger, higher value messages.

Are you following #[2]?
My guess is that he's pretty busy right now.
If you're using the version in the app store it's likely that it's not the latest as it takes time for them to accept updates.

I was in a similar position about 18 months ago. I was listening to K3tan present on privacy approaches & guiltily tucked my iPhone in my pocket. π
Start slowly but keep taking little steps towards becoming digitally sovereign.
I'm using K3tan's guide as a checklist of quick wins (that aren't so quick for an old boy).

The pixel part was just buy a second hand Google Pixel & load Calyx on it (so much easier than running a Bitcoin node π). Graphene was the other option (to calyx) which apparently has a better user experience now. Calyx is easy to load of you follow the instructions.
I got my wife & daughter on them now & looking to get a second one for myself.
It's a nice feeling being on a phone that isn't tracking every single thing you do to your ID.
Might be time to get a Pixel π
Aussies be flexing

I respect but do not share all you preferences Susie.
Good to see you here π€
Yeah - I was in 2 minds whether to click through to it or not.
I'm not interested in going back there once I've done my quick signal scan.
Good decision. I think we're all still feeling our way through this before eternal September kicks in.
π€
It is too!
Strange that it's so far down the list considering the name is a perfect match.

I'm pretty sure you need to do it from your Twitter account.
It's something I'm not willing to do.
I will verify myself upon request but I don't want to point to my pub from Twitter. π€·
I didn't pick you for a playstore kinda guy.
I'm still waiting for the Aurora trickle down effect & until then I will apk.
We are not the same.
