There is disability stigma that presumes disabled people cannot achieve high levels of career success or obtain positions of power.
I feel this from time to time at my workplace, as very few disabled people (especially physically disabled) hold meaningful positions of power in big banks.
This reality has been a chip on my shoulder since I was paralyzed in high school. I want to be the best not only for personal reasons but also because I want to prove to everyday people that disabled people can fucking kill it.
That we aren’t helpless. That we don’t want your sympathy. That we can provide for our ourselves and our family.
That we are fucking badass killers.

We left the city yesterday for Maine. I have never been to New England, so this trip is very exciting and interesting to me.

This is a primary issue with centralized platforms. One man or group can change the experience for all. Nostr—with its variety of clients—allows users to choose the client that offers them the best set of tradeoffs and experiences.

I had that last year, and I thought I was having heart issues. Definitely not a fun time.
While Primal is my main client, I find myself switching to Damus when Primal struggles to load in a low-connection environment. Damus is always buttery smooth for me. The ability to zap notes and the interface makes Primal my first choice.
Perfect day in the city. We are currently sitting at 61° after yesterday’s downpour. Relaxing before another intense work week.
