If it didn't crash as often as spaces did, I'd be interested. X Spaces has been awful for over a year already.
Its 2024 and almost 2025 and all I read is "spaces got rugged again" and when I unfortunately do tune in its "I, the moderator cant hear the speakers" or "I'm going to leave and come back" or "can someone else demote them and bring them back up pleaae".
It's 50% technical troubleshooting then 50% the normal signal to noise ratio on top of that.

An unrealized captial gains tax means you get taxed on all gains, both sold assets (realized) gains and held gains on paper you haven't sold yet (unrealized).
More importantly, it's a brilliant tactic that the Harris campaign is stealing from Trump.
Notice how no one on the left is talking about this unrealized tax plan. But nearly everybody on the right is spending 80% of their time on it.
So instead of talking about the realistic failures of plans that will get enforced, like more failure on the border, like the drug epidemic spiraling out of control, the health crisis getting worse, etc.... "we" are spending hours and days talking about something that won't happen.
It's brilliant politics.

Bitcoin Conference 2024 in Nashville was a wild success IMO, even if you take out the epic moment of the Trump speech on Saturday. Last year, #BTC23 in Miami Beach was awesome, sure... but you can't understate what this moment was like when DJT walked out on stage. Everyone was standing, filming, in complete awe. For many in attendance, if not most, that was their first time seeing Trump in person.
Having been to 7 rally's, including an outdoors one in my home town, waiting in line 13 hours, on a day it hit 106, I can tell you this was classic Trump. His speech at #BTC24 was just like a regular rally speech with the exception of the placating to the crowd by talking about Bitcoin (and "crypto" ugh). It had some of the same vibes as RFK Jrs speech last year before he obviously started REALLY learning about Bitcoin.
Having said all that... I am looking very forward to #BTC25 in Las Vegas as the political campaigns won't see as much value in being as big of a part of the event.

OK, I'll admit it. Nostr has some serious Google Plus vibes. Granted the technology is night and day different, but the result is nearly identical.
A social media venue where only those DEEP into the space are excited about it and using it, claiming that it has so much more to offer. And they are right. They BOTH were right. But one already went away. The other, is... well, not over yet.
We are an echo chamber, inside of another echo chamber.
Although I don't see how Nostr becomes something better and grows out of this stage, I understand that doesn't mean it won't happen. I'm just not seeing how.
I could use some ideas for Halloween this year. Already did the Lumberjack recently. And a few years ago the Shrek and Rex Ryan ones were pretty good. Not sure what to do this year, hmmm.
