My mom slapped my hand once, with the flat of a big kitchen knife. She was used to slapping us, and it just happened to be what she had in her hand. I was trying to sneak a bit of whatever she was chopping, and she was saying "get out of there".
It shocked me then, and it's stuck with me to this day. It shocks me still đ
Don't do this, folks. Children take everything in so deeply đ˘ ...

As predicted; đĽ
"⌠the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment guarantees ppl the rights listed in the Constitution, + some âfundamental rightsâ not mentioned in the document. It then quoted Dobbs directly:
To determine whether a right at issue is one of the substantive rights guaranteed by the Due Process Clause, courts must look to whether the right is âdeeply rooted in [our] history & traditionâ & âessential to our Nationâs âscheme of ordered liberty.ââ"

đ "candidate for Italyâs far-right political party"?

A reminder about hashtags:
Please use camelCase when writing hashtags.
It allows screenreader software to properly parse the hashtag so it makes sense to visually limited users.
Don't be lazy and use the all-lowercse suggestions your client app suggests :-\
Like this: #livingWageForAll

dogs don't really [notice? see?] other colours than blue and yellow and green.
Green is observed as yellow. So finding a tennis ball in grass is hard.

nostr:npub1m3yycjz7vy8s9h84k552lj8r2744f96vxgkrefdfxke7gn0rryqqm2lm5r I should try the lists feature! sometimes I'm a slow adopter, because I get used to my daily.
nostr:npub1gr8tf3fsdjv33jp4akfu3v089mfd4xvmhm85zxwqu0n60c2dtfjqw9c639 some clients are better for lists. I switched from tusky to megalodon for better list making and list viewing features :-)

nostr:npub1gr8tf3fsdjv33jp4akfu3v089mfd4xvmhm85zxwqu0n60c2dtfjqw9c639 I love it. And I think it is important â¤
And when we control our own social media, we are responsible to curate whose slice-of-life we see.
I like the mastodon feature to hide follower boosts. If someone boosts a lot of games stuff (which I don't care about) I can hide it but still see their own posts.
And I use lists to limit what I see depending on my mood. I have a friends list, one for fun, others for canadian news, us news, and specific hashtags. đ
