CapCut and Adobe products are in particular better on mobile. I have resorted to editing my videos on by USB-C monitor via my phone instead of my PC, even though it's only 1080p versus the 4k the monitor is capable of displaying. The phone maintains good performance the whole time, whereas I have to put an extra fan on the laptop, setting it up on its side, to keep performance decent. ARM based devices also are much better for battery life, too.
I've considered it. I could go with the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, but maybe I go Galaxy S24 with a lapDock*.
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and tablet use the Gen 2, so the phone will likely outperform the tablet in processing, but then the tablet has up to 16GB RAM, whereas the phone has up to 12GB.
Plus, the phone has cellular, whereas the tablet doesn't for the Ultra 🤷♂️

Here's an interesting idea:
What if small businesses issued e-cash in-store credit? It could be in terms of "hours of labor" or a specific good or service. This would make it exchangeable to other users, while technically not inflating the currency. This could also allow a small network of businesses and individuals* to trade their goods and services** without the need for a more widely accepted currency. It's putting trust in neighbors, again. Heck! You could issue stocks in e-cash!
* the first thought I had was farmers' markets and very small businesses
** like the bread credits referenced in nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a's recent video
Nowadays, phones are outperforming laptops in so many categories. I am seriously considering going all Android. The one thing that holds me back is VS Code.
Have any of you tried this?

[Prə-] not [pro-]? Although unstressed, I definitely pronounce it [pro-].
Interesting! The quoted note is a bluesky bridged note. I think that's the first I've seen. It's missing is own quote, though.
Randomly saw a ₿ while I was looking for stock photos for a website I'm building

I've felt that, since 2020 and the unnecessary/ineffective/overkill responses from the governments, it should be easier to orange-pill now, but it seems people still hold out hope that the current system is repairable and will be favorable if fixed to something new. I understand it, but still...
It doesn't make sense to measure inflation against "stable items" anyway! Who thought that made any sense?
Inflation impacts those with the greatest need, who are and have been the vast majority of persons, so we ought to measure it against that on which they spend their money. Then, we ought to normalize against their wages. That then affords a real understanding of what inflation actually does to the populace. The bankers and big money investors don't need the CPI, because they gather their own numbers.

Choose what to trust: the government and the FED or math, computers, and cyberpunk cryptographers
😂

(The dev can choose to accept dollars for ads and pay the user in zaps proportionally, which could be really great arbitrage! Get big tech to fund the bitcoin exit!)
Zapvertisements. Expose a setting to the user to accept more or fewer, which are split between the user and the dev team with some decent split, like 60-40 (user/dev). If the ads are too much, dial down to minimum (which may be zero) and only get content from subs, or get ads to fund your zapping habit.
It is the embodiment of the virtues, especially courage, fortitude, patience, justice, temperance, and prudence. It is physical prowess with a spirit that needs not use it. It is confidence is one's abilities without the need to prove it. It seeks beauty to cherish, foster, and protect. It is the initiator, sustainer, and grower.
Yep. Don't know why it stopped working. I did get a PHP injection attack, but I fixed it and thought the NIP05 would get fixed with it.
I am pretty sure this is how most file systems work, and I think RAM, too.
