Really puzzled by the reactionary alarmism surrounding the op return #bitcoin core controversy
Even more puzzled to see people jumping ship to use wingnut jrs knots
Ok thanks, as for ddos I've never dealt with it but I know others have, but an attacker gaining access to a network via running bitcoin core I mean is this really a thing or just a what if
What happens if I just keep running the same #bitcoin core version forever without updating #asknostr
Am I somehow fucking up bitcoin because I dont care about op return limits
Of course @buzzbot 5000 doesnt work for me!
I have no idea what I'm doing first time using amethyst

I'm not smart enough to know what versions best thats why I asked if theres any real benefit to updating, looks like they improve stuff like ddos attacks, I've never had my node ddosed its always just worked.
The op return drama just confuses the casual node runner like myself, I dont get it, that's why I'm just kicking back running my old version until someone smarter than me can convince me otherwise
I dont see the point in updating it, its 5 years old, I could just run this version until I expire, what difference would it make
Someone explain to me why I should update the bitcoin core version I downloaded and verified 5 years ago, it still works fine #asknostr #bitcoin
