Data Silos force you to stay: Moving is too hard. They profit on making things just difficult enough to keep your around. After all, it's just 9.99 a month.

Stopped by a nearby store for lunch break. All automated checkout. Zero people. The checkout kiosk records your face as you pay. Zero ways to opt out. You’d have to know ahead of time this is happening but by the time you notice it’s already too late. Felt a bit like all hope is already lost. If this is what we accept as ok.. then what’s the point of anything? Who needs eye orbs when your friendly neighborhood supermarket has already scanned you. 🤦‍♂️
