Best description of bitcoin -
I don't watch the price. I know it will always gain in value over the long term as more people are able to use it.

Control the controllable

Good point, I do buy more bitcoin each month than ethereum
I am buying both bitcoin and ethereum; bitcoin equals financial freedom.
Ethereum in my opinion is like an operating system for a computer, so also in my opinion I’m getting in early on a super computer, that companies are building on top of.
The added benefit of Ethereum for me is that I can stake it, so I’m earning passive income.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, life is not a sprint but a marathon.
Whatever dreams you have will happen gradually, you just have to believe and constantly work hard to make your dreams into reality.

I like to talk, but I have a speech impediment, so to counter that I use WhatsApp and social media.
Some of the disabled people are lonely; so if you see disabled people, just say hi.

There’s a saying “knowledge is power” so why is it that some disabled people struggle through education, or have to go to ‘special schools’?
I am a firm believer in inclusion; you mix with people, you learn different things, it could be anything like; culture, foods, religion.
My educational journey was made through mainstream schools, colleges and universities.
Did you know that in some educational establishments, they’ll take your funding that your local authority will give them to assist you and then put the money in one big pot and give it to the most needed - now I believe in helping anyone in need but not at my expense
I left education at my 20’s without a meaningful qualification; if it wasn’t for a fantastic college in Hornchurch, an university in London and the support of my family, I would not be here with an university degree.
I am surprised by some people, when I say I have a degree, they looked astonished, hold on, let me give you guys some real talk, - my legs may not work properly; but my brain works, it works well enough to absorb education.
Moral of the story; don’t judge people; don’t categorise people; instead show patience; some people may surprise you.

Laptops are very useful for everyone, but I think as a disabled person choosing the right laptop is key as the specifications of the laptop will vary from one model to another model.
There are different brands of laptops, Microsoft, Apple and Google; there are various operating systems, an operating system is essentially what makes a laptop run.
For ease of use in my opinion, Apple laptops are good as Apple laptops comes with all of the apps pre-installed and the laptop updates itself periodically.
If you have not full dexterity, you could use Siri or any other voice dictation software to control the laptop

How to interact with a wheelchair user
Some people do make me laugh, as some people don’t know how to interact with me.
People assume that I’m deaf, so they raise their voice or shout, some people assume that I can understand sign language and they sign.
I’ll give you a simple answer, how to interact with me? Just talk, simple.
I’d would appreciate it if you could sit on a chair, so that we’ve got eye contact but just talk.
I just use my wheelchair to move around from A to B; just as an able bodied person uses their legs to move around.

I was thinking about when I should sell some bitcoin; I’ve watched several YouTube videos- 1 year was constant in the comments- 2035.
My new philosophy is that I will not sell bitcoin at all.
That’ll be a big milestone for me as it’ll be 10 years investing and I’ll be 54 in November in 2035.
Big question is- how much will Bitcoin be worth in 2035??

I view investing in bitcoin as having a decentralised savings account; why??
Bitcoin will naturally accumulate in value over time- unlike traditional saving accounts, where you’ll get low interest rates.

Why did I invest in crypto? Mainly Bitcoin ?? Simple I want to get financially comfortable and independent.
Let me expand on that; my name is Dermid Forde, I’m disabled, I have got a disability called Cerebral Palsy, essentially I’m wheelchair bound.
I am on disability benefits, needless to say the benefits don’t go far, can’t save as the value of the pound depreciates over time.
So I invest what I can afford in crypto, money that will appreciate over time, will I be rich anytime soon?? No - but at least my crypto investment will increase over time.
Is it too late to invest in Bitcoin?? I’m not a financial expert, but I think not as it’s not at $1 million dollars yet; is it early no, Bitcoin was at cheaper prices.
I know that for me I’ll continually buy Bitcoin , to get to my goal of getting financially comfortable and financially stable
