it seems Windows 10 is more ram hungry than windows 11
i just upgraded my Windows 10 pc from 16 to 32 gb ram based on the fact that my Windows 11 pc was only using about 11 GB out of 64 GB so i felt like anything over 32 gb would be wasted ...
but with 32 GB installed my Windows 10 pc is now using 14 GB whereas it was using about 11 when 16 GB was installed ... so windows 10 ram use seems to increase as you install more, trying to optimize for 50% use ... whereas windows 11 basically trying to minimize ram use ...
it seems Windows 11 ram use is more optimized for ultralight devices whereas Windows 10 ram use is optimized for more serious machines ...
ordered some upgrades for this older Shitposting PC:

this will bring my WIFI speed from 130 mbit to 300 mbit, and my ram from 16GB to 32GB.
i carefully observed both WIFI and memory usage on both this older Shitposting PC ( 130 mbit, 16GB ) and my newer Gaming PC ( 300 mbit, 64 GB ) before coming to the conclusion that new WIFI adaptor was justified and that the amount of ram i needed was 32GB.
one of the reasons i am upgrading is because nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr tried to blame my older PC for noStrudel performance issues i was reporting so i figured it will be easier to upgrade the PC than to argue that it shouldn't make any difference ...
i could have just tested noStrudel on my Gaming PC of course but i don't like to have any personal stuff on the Living Room PC ...
the upgrades were successful.

Apple is copying Tesla style marketing for the Vision Pro
i was already boycotting both Tesla and Apple and Tesla but now i will do it harder LOL
i don't know who i hate more - Niggers, Jews, Tesla Drivers or Apple Users ...
😢

apparently current versions of CyberTruck don't feature Tesla Autopilot ...
that of course won't stop TeslaFags from whoring for attention ...
everything about Tesla is fake and gay anyway ...
same for Apple as well ...

based on testing i have done over past few days if you're getting a new PC you should get one with 32GB of RAM that can be upgraded to 64GB in about 3 or 4 years.
i have one PC with 16GB that i feel is working too hard to manage RAM because it has barely enough and one PC with 64 GB that is hard to push to use over 20GB of RAM so both point to 32GB as being the sweet spot RIGHT NOW.
but software gets more ram hungry all the time. and in a few years 32GB may start to feel claustrophobic so make sure you have an upgrade path to 64GB.
any modern desktop should be upgradeable to 64GB but obviously some laptops can't be upgraded at all.

me too.
never post it again !
so it's California, then Florida then Texas and NJ
it's funny because i'm in NJ and the three states i would consider moving to are California, Florida and Texas
we need to create the New Soviet Man ! Homo-Urbanus !
this man will spit on things like air conditioning and LOVE pedaling in the sleet and slush !
Elon Musk's Neuralink implants is how we create this perfect man.
It will of course be mandatory - we can't let people vote on matters of safety !
Such matters may only be decided by experts.
Klaus Schwab willing we will defeat Car Brain !
still a bit of occasional stuttering while typing but i would say it is acceptable.
i will let you know if it becomes unusable again.
noStrudel still has the best balance of feature and performance. Coracle has no stuttering while typing but it also has no reposts, no pasting images into the post and so on.
but the real reason i don't use Coracle is because it doesn't seem to show all of my notifications, for whatever reason - it shows some but not others.
and Satellite is just stupid the way everything is organized.
and Gossip and Snort aren't working for me at all right now.
so yeah, noStrudel still best, and i will let you know if it gets worse.
ultimately the reason i'm here is because i like working with children ( you )
as opposed to dealing with boomers ( GAB )
children and boomers are equally stupid but children can learn whereas boomers can't
i had times here on NOSTR / Fediverse where i called people idiots and they asked to explain why and i explained it to them and they tried to understand ... you will NEVER have a boomer try to understand ANYTHING no matter how politely you point out to them that they are wrong ...
Children are programmed to learn, even from people who are mean to them. Old people are programmed to be disgusting and to just fucking DIE.
this is why i'm sticking around. i must pass my wisdom on to the next generation.
can somebody explain the baked beans meme to me ?
#noStrudel v0.38.0 Is finally released. I've added and changed a ton of stuff and honestly should have released this as multiple smaller versions but I kept getting distracted.
Some of the notable changes:
- Support for nsecbunker and the new OAuth flow
- Added simple "Launchpad" view (most stuff will be added in the future)
- Restore scroll position when returning to the timeline
- Show unavailable events in threads
- Organized all the "other stuff" in a tools page
- Added support to cache events in local relays instead of the browsers cache
- And a ton more, read them all in the https://github.com/hzrd149/nostrudel/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#0380 changelog

If you want to play around with all the new features you can find the client at https://nostrudel.ninja or you can run it locally using docker "docker run --rm -p 8080:80 ghcr.io/hzrd149/nostrudel:0.38"
And If you the app useful feel free to setup an autozap using https://www.zapplepay.com/autozap/npub1wyuh3scfgzqmxn709a2fzuemps389rxnk7nfgege6s847zze3tuqfl87ez
i went back to using the NEXT version.
came to realize i enjoy being the first one to report bugs, rather than simply consuming the final product.
