Inside an igloo. This photo shows an Inuit woman and her family inside their igloo in the 1940s.
While depicted in popular culture as built from big "ice cubes", igloos primarily use compacted snow, which insulates and traps body heat, keeping the inside surprisingly warm even in freezing temperatures. These shelters can be cozy and effective, proving how resourceful people are at adapting to their environment. ❄️
Snow is used because the air pockets trapped in it make it an insulator. On the outside, temperatures may be as low as −45 °C (−49 °F), but on the inside, the temperature may range from −7 to 16 °C (19 to 61 °F) when warmed by body heat alone.
It has become clear to me that aging itself does not bring wisdom. It often brings regression to childishness, dependency, and bitterness over lost opportunities. Only those who are still intellectually, emotionally, spiritually growing inherit the richness of aging. ~James Hollis

27 years ago, someone impaled a 60 pound pumpkin on the top of a spire at Cornell University in the middle of the night. It was over 170 feet off the ground. To this day, no one really knows who did it, why, and how this was accomplished without anyone noticing.
History of the Tower: McGraw Tower is a masonry clock tower located on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The tower was known as Library Tower when it was first built in 1891.
The Prank Story: On October 8, 1997, passersby noticed a pumpkin on top of the tower's spire. Because of the danger involved in retrieving it, administrators decided to leave it until it rotted and fell off. However, the pumpkin rapidly dried out in the cold air and remained on the tower until it was removed with a crane on March 13, 1998
"The true horror of existence is not the fear of death, but the fear of life. It is the fear of waking up each day to face the same struggles, the same disappointments, the same pain. It is the fear that nothing will ever change, that you are trapped in a cycle of suffering that you cannot escape. And in that fear, there is a desperation, a longing for something, anything, to break the monotony, to bring meaning to the endless repetition of days."
— Albert Camus, The Fall
“To hold our tongues when everyone is gossiping, to smile without hostility at people and institutions, to compensate for the shortage of love in the world with more love in small, private matters; to be more faithful in our work, to show greater patience, to forgo the cheap revenge obtainable from mockery and criticism: all these are things we can do.”
–Hermann Hesse

The hardest pill I had to swallow this year was learning that no matter how good you could be to somebody, no matter how much you love them, they can and will turn their backs on you. It’s a painful truth that not everyone will value the love and loyalty you offer. Sometimes, the ones you cherish the most are the ones who hurt you the deepest. But in this harsh lesson, I also learned that their actions are a reflection of them, not you. It’s a reminder to protect your heart and to only invest in those who truly deserve your kindness.

If I could give you one piece of advice to hold in your heart, it would be to appreciate every second you have with the things that you love; be they places, objects, or people.... Because there is a last time for everything and you don't always know that it's the last time when you're in it.
There will be a last time you see a sunrise, a last time you taste ice-cream and a last time you smell a rose. There will be a last time you enter every room, a last time you hold every pet, and a last time you hear a loved one's voice.
Sometimes we know we're in those moments and we can savour every second of them - but so often we don't know until that moment is gone and it's too late to go back and relive it.
So hold onto those moments while you have them.... live inside them.... appreciate them to their fullest every time so you'll never regret taking them for granted one day when they're gone.

"Where do I run? When everything feels so heavy.
NO MILK PLEASE 🦔🦔🦔… If you see me in your garden, I appreciate food (unsalted raw meat, such as minced meat, I also love cat food but not fish) and I need water. Please don’t give me milk that would cause stomach problems and I could die. Please don’t use insecticides or traps. I'm inoffensive and help in your garden because I feed on insects that attack your veggies. My species is disappearing, please help us to stay alive 😘
I’m here now yesterday we had a power shortage the light was gone dor some few hours until the light management came and fix it
A man is rich, whose heart is light,
Whose pleasures are simple, and his joys in sight,
He finds delight, in nature's gentle breeze,
And sunshine warms his soul, with effortless ease.
His wealth is measured, not in gold or might,
But in the beauty, of a peaceful night,
A walk in the woods, a book by the fire,
These are the treasures, that his heart desires.
He is the richest, who can find delight,
In the smallest pleasures, that life brings to sight,
A child's laughter, a friend's warm embrace,
These are the riches, that fill his heart with grace.
So let us not be fooled, by wealth's disguise,
For true richness lies, in a heart that's wise,
That finds joy in the simple things,
And treasures love, above all earthly rings.
Don't be afraid of losing people.
Be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please everyone around you.

In the morning, the rays of sunlight spill over the mountains and rivers, transforming the scenic area of Ulan Butong in Inner Mongolia into a golden wonderland.
In this picturesque setting, a herd of horses gallops through the river, sending water splashing into the air. The splashes resemble strokes of natural ink, blending harmoniously with the glowing sunrise to create a vivid scene. #ChinaSeen
