The hardest pill I had to swallow this year was learning that no matter how good you could be to somebody, no matter how much you love them, they can and will turn their backs on you. It’s a painful truth that not everyone will value the love and loyalty you offer. Sometimes, the ones you cherish the most are the ones who hurt you the deepest. But in this harsh lesson, I also learned that their actions are a reflection of them, not you. It’s a reminder to protect your heart and to only invest in those who truly deserve your kindness.

Good morning! Thank you for sharing and yes, such an important reflection, even if it is painful. I feel you...! Yes, it may be that it has nothing to do with us when the other person decides to leave us. But it can also be a sign that we give too much and forget to love ourselves.

Unconsciously, it can happen that we also think that we "control" others by giving love. Even if we believe that we give so much, that does not mean that it stops the person from leaving or hurting us... Just a thought, a pattern that I discovered in myself years ago, or rather uncovered and transformed.
