Smart choices!
If you arenât watching, the latest âsub 1sat summerâ itâs not adding value and core developers are asking people to about turn on it.
Bitcoin Core is turning into Ethereum and Knots is trying to preserve Bitcoin as money.
Run knots 𪢠đ¤

Guys, surely @bitcoincoreorg deleting comments and marking as abuse is just not the way to execute.
Irrespective of which side youâre on, censorship in your development process is not the way to build a âcensorship resistantâ money.
This isnât a win for anyone, and makes the whole Bitcoin identity look weak.
This method of building, architecting, and executing on change only ever ends badly.
Incredibly scary stuff.
Not the way.
Treating the Bitcoin Core repository like itâs a subreddit.

This is a great insight from nostr:nprofile1qqsf6hls5tv9ypxyp49vy7ajdzd7n992rvhl8lyy7y0uj37tr28mglspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejs9pf9af
Given heâs been on the podcast already this year (check out the ep, it was awesome as always)
Who is keen to join me as a guest and run through what is going on with Knots?
Ideally theyâve upgraded their node and got deep in the weeds

It truly is incredible to watch, and I do have a side that aligns with my beliefs, but itâs always interesting to watch rocket ships and dig into the âwhyâ. What makes people put in the effort to run this software without any financial benefit? EtcâŚ
I think it will be a great case study win or lose!
Misalignment among network operators (the people that keep the code online) is what fractures them.
Iâm sorry that you werenât educated on the topic before you spoke to the topic.
Also, rarely check Nostr hence delayed reply đŤĄ
Crybaby canât do what he wants with no accountability.
Keep whining.
Ohhhhh I getttttt it nowâŚ.
Youâre a crybaby when you donât get free reigns with no accountability.
Networks chew people like you up and spit them out. Iâm here for 100 years, youâre here for hero clicks.
Weak.
Being a crybaby about how the world works sounds like a child who didnât get the toy at Christmas.
Grow up.
lol. Youâre arguing with network design not me, Iâm just informing you.
Youâre the cry baby here brother, not me.
Because you donât make changes (regardless of the change) during hostile environments.
The same reason you donât get out of a moving car.
So nuancing the specifics is irrelevant. CTV and all that shows promise. But misalignment shows bigger risk.
You can complain all you want, Iâm not the inventor of this logic.
Ask Hodlnaut or look it up and have a read about what sort of social behaviour the community is capable of.
Good luck trying to change money with your approach đ¤
You think Iâm some conservative boring person, while I am, I tinker probably a lot more than anybody else in the industry with these things.
CTV isnât the conversation, itâs the process to get CTV activated and when.
You donât make big changes in the middle of a misalignment shitstorm. Thatâs what governments do during election years, purposefully for the effort of destabilising the citizens and dividing them.
This is a process and social alignment convo, zero technical nuance.
I posted it because people are skipping the rigorous process for making changes.
If you skip processes it may work in your favour today, but long term it doesnât.
Iâm not engagement baiting, I donât care about engagement.
Iâm telling you it ends badly when everyone doesnât have consistent predictable processes for change.
As evident, people are already arguing about Core for a different CTV related issue.
Youâll all eat each other over time as the lack of process may favour you today, but over time becomes crippling and incentive orientated (not process orientated).
Like I said, follow process, have a process, stick to it, and show that the community can rely on it moving forward.
What part is difficult to understand about that and what part donât you like about it?
Nothing ever scales without process and Core Apologists are learning this the hard way.
Hubris and ignorance works for 20 minutes but this is a 1000 year protocol IF we donât drop the ball.
Below is an example, the writing is on the wall.
Stop apologising for this garbage, it is bad by association.

on what bitcoin did!
We talk about what nations will do to secure Bitcoin:
They will pay miners a premium over spot to balance their grid and extract natural resources, theyâll receive coins in return. Assuring they have a steady incentive system for acquiring newly minted (no history) coins.
Iâm really excited for people to hear this, as I think itâll be the silver bullet!
