What do we think?

I moved to an island and defied all odds.

I lived in a city. I had the job I wanted. The life I dreamed of.

But I was just… content. I was comfortable.

I wasn’t striving for more. I wasn’t growing.

I was living the life I was told I wanted.

But the truth is, when you’re comfortable, you’re not really living.

You’re not squeezing the lemon for all it’s got.

I thought I had it all…

But it wasn’t until I left it all behind that the real shift happened.

That’s when more doors opened.

That’s when life started having meaning. Purpose.

I stopped living for what others wanted and started living for what I wanted.

My parents aren’t the happiest that I’m out here on an island…

But this isolation has taught me resilience.

It’s taught me the power of noise.

Because my god… there is so much noise out there.

So many distractions.

So many things keeping you from evolving.

To anyone who says you need to live in a city to “make it”…

They probably don’t even know what making it means.

At least not in a way that matters to me.

Anyway, this post is just a reminder:

The power of networking isn’t always working.

I was living in the international capital of the world…

And still felt like something was missing.

But the power of focusing really focusing on what you want…

without distractions, without noise, without doing what others expect of you…

is unreal.

So take the jump.

Believe in yourself.

And stop living for other people’s fears.

One thing I remind myself every day is this:

Why the hell do they tell us we should live in front of the ocean when we retire?

Why do we have to wait to start enjoying life?
