In my experience (both from BTC and from actual gambling) the euphoric highs of winning can be just as damaging as the depressing lows of losing
Is there a good iOS lightning wallet that doesn't hit you with massive fees? Testing out Muun and Phoenix and I'm having to pay nearly $10 for transactions around $50.

Free markets require rules in order to function, so it's not unreasonable to ask if those rules need to change.
Not saying that should happen for inscriptions (it's probably not worth it, just let them keep donating to miners until the fad passes), but free market doesn't mean anything is allowed as long as you pay enough.
Interesting example of government always increasing in size and complexity

What about unlocking premium client features with payment? A global search would be cool and something worth paying for. This also incentivizes development and innovation.
Hard to imagine writing this and thinking it'd be a good idea rather than a hellish dystopia
IMO the passphrase probably doesn't even need to be that complicated either and could be something that's super easy to memorize. So you'd have to forget it and lose access to your password manager.
What if you store the passphrase (but not the seed phrase) in a password manager?

Is the concern we might end up with a lot of paper bitcoin?
If people want to store their BTC with Fidelity I suppose they have the right to do that, even though that's not something any of us would do.
Bellingcat is pretty woke. It's a little weird Proton would be promoting them since OSINT is basically the inverse of privacy.
