IQ tests vary. Most aren't equal and only test for deductive reasoning in situations that almost no one encounters in real life.
Measuring an IQ is the equivalent of measuring a random collection of invisible strings.
Bias is put into it. Assumptions are made. And we determine that being able to follow vague instructions, predicting which shape comes next in a series, and being able to decipher a random collection of dots and shades whilst doing math somehow equates to genius level thinking.
In some cases it may. But if you cannot find a practical application for the abilities, it's essentially useless.
Humans have this need to make precise measurements for every facet of life. Sometimes, it's just not accurate in the least.
It feels more like a coping mechanism.
IQ tests don't teach us anything. We are not dependent on these tests to gain the ability to read or do calculations.
They were made up so people could prove they have a deep understanding of something.
Yet, they don't.
Being able to come up with simple solutions to complex problems is seen as genius, yet it's also known as common sense. Funny. Ironic.
Intelligence is like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder.
What I value as "big brain" thinking will not always be the equivalent to someone else's ideals on "big brain" thinking.
You can be highly intelligent without math.
But not everyone feels that way.
It's not always what you have already memorized, but your ability to recover, recognize patterns and potential mistakes ahead of time, adapt and adjust quickly that make you highly intelligent. But that's still just my opinion.
I think I just fell in love

Lol

He's German.
And Yeah ofc you'd find it boring.
Life is full of boringness.
And if being bored makes you angry. That's sad. It'll fuck you up later.
Life isn't so amazing and exciting every second.
Intrigue is something found between the lines.
Learning isn't always some grand mental adventure.
It's long and arduous. Tedious and meticulous.
Looking back when it's over and finding a way to make it amusing for yourself is where the true understanding takes place.
You have to be willing to see things from other's perspective before you can gain your own insights.
Or you can go through Life with your head up your ass thinking as long as someone out there thinks you're pretty you've got it all figured out.
